Where were you when you found out Michael Jackson died?

Plain and simple. I was in bed at about 6am one morning before school and I got a text saying "Wacko Jacko's dead :o" but I didn't clock onto what they meant because it was 6am and I'm crap in the mornings but then I found out from GMTV about 10 mins later.

I woke up at like 7, and turned on the tv on the news where I found out, then I told my mum and she's like. Yeah right. Then she saw..

I was on hxf at the time that he went into the hospital (and then ran downstairs to tell everyone), and then when i woke up in the morning to get ready for school, he was dead

Well it was about 10-11pm, i was in my front room when i logged out of Hotmail and the main news was rumours about MJ being dead...

Obviously these were just rumours about that he was in hospital ... then it was confirmed when i saw it on the news the next mornin

I was on holiday in Florida and my mama woke me up and told me she was like "come see the news!" I was on a forum when I first heard he may have died at some weird time in the late evening/early morning, and I ran downstairs telling people because we were kinda interested in the up and coming tours. I think it was when they official announced he was dead that I found out, at 6 or 7 am :/

all my family came running in my room and said get downstairs quick and watch the news.. thought we'd won the lottery or something. i was excited running down, then the cameras were surrounding MJ's home. He was confirmed dead by the time I saw the breaking news report and that must've been about half 11 gone. then of course i signed into facebook and the newsfeed was flooded with "RIP MJ :("

I was on the xbox and then my sister came in telling me he was in a coma, so i turned on the news channels then at around 11pm it got announced he had died and i was like omg. Then i remember in a party chat at around 11:10pm telling my friends and they didn't beleive me :S.

It was like 11pm, and my mum came in my room woke me up and told me to put the news on cos she thought "somethnigs happened to michael jackson"

So i saw there watching it till about 3am, i went to bed after thye had already confirmed he was dead.

In a way I wish this had happened on another day but I'm glad it happened on this day too because I suppose it gives me a date to match with the other events that took place that day.

It was nearing the end of a school year and a class of mine went to a themepark nearby (there's big themeparks in Canada but where I live there's not. This was a pretty smallscale park. Wooden minute and a half roller coaster and all). I remember a thunder storm but it was incredibly warm out, and I had a good time with my friends. I consider this day the climax of my relationship with one friend in particular before our friendship dwindled out of existence. I don't particularly enjoy thinking about this day, but I don't necessarily want to forget about it at the same time.

Anyway to make a long story short with regards to Jackson's death, someone had briefly mentioned it on the bus ride home although of course nobody believed them. When the story presented itself to me on television I knew it was real.

' MJ's dead' 'oh' half an hour later i went down stairs and looked at the tv and it said 'MJ has died' i was like mum why didn't you tell me LOL i hate morning but yeah :L but the day before my mate had said a horrible joke about him the ones that are like .. if MJ died and he died the next day i was like YOU KILLED MJ but yeah LOL

It was when I was doing the American Exchange at school last year, and while the Yanks were over here, we had a particularly Scottish themed ceilidh. When i stopped to have a rest i had a quick look on fb on my phone and everyone's statuses were like "omg michael jackson is dead" and sure enough i looks up bbc news and there it is...

I seriously fought it wasn't true, until my whole family said it was, so i checked on MSN news, and it was true, then on the way to school, i heard it on the radio, and by the time i got to school, it had spread like wild fire. :P

It was about 11:45PM and we had Sky News on down the stairs, I was on MSN and told somebody I was talking with that Michael Jackson was dead - didn't believe me but then checked and within an hour all the MSNs online had 'RIP MJ XX' on. I remember it well.

Oh and of course everybody turned on MJ songs and didn't stop listening to them for a few months at least! :P

Saw that he was hospitalised at about 10PM on HabboxForum. Then I sat in bed watching News 24 on my phone, and I think about 23:30 just as I was about to turn it off, it was confirmed that he had died.

hmm if i remember correctly i was sitting in my room on laptop, i think it was the msn newsie or bbc i saw it on, but it wasnt even 2 seconds and my older sister went running into my mums room to tell her - they both had tickets for his tour in london LOL

Well the night I decided to sleep with my phone It wouldn't stop going off and it went on for ages with hundreds of chain mail It went off again at like 4am so I was like fgs shut up and went to turn it off and then saw 27 new messages so I just opened the application and you know that way were you can see part of the text All I saw was something like pass this on as respect to Michael Jackson and his death so I ran down stairs and was like mum mum mum MJ is dead and she was like .. Strangely I was up watching TV and then the program suddenly ended and it came up with BBC News and it said he was in a serious condition. So I stayed up and kept watching the news and then it was confirmed he died.
