Where were you when you found out Steve Irwin died?

Adding to the current 'where were you when' series of threads.

So four years and five days ago marks the date the world lost Steve Irwin. What were you doing and where were you when you found out he had died?

I was at my home alone since college hadn't started again yet and I just happened to be browsing the internet when I came across the news, probably on the MSN homepage or something. Unsure what to think I went downstairs and turned on the television and there it was on the worldwide news. Shortly after they played a tribute video for him to which I cried like a little girl. Such a sad day.

Personally I was sat next to my nan watching it and felt abit upset for some reason, yet a couple of days later I lost my nan :/

So yeah. grieving? :(

Yahoo homepage. At first I couldn't recognise the name Steve Irwin, so i asked my sister "Who's Steve Irwin?" she said "The crocodile man" then it all just hit me!

his daughters speech at his funeral was quite emotional too.

It was a school holiday and I think I saw it on the news. Everyone was so shocked. I was actually on Habbo at the time and made my room into a "Steve Irwin Memorial room" - it got pretty full actually :P

I actually remember this! I was at home at the end of the summer holidays waiting for school to start, it came on the news! Was eating lunch with my sister watching TV! I liked his shows as well!
