hmm, Your hair is lovely how it is :) But if you must dye your hair, try out some swartzkof (sp?) My mum uses the root tinter and its really good! And lasts a long time :)

You're hair is beautiful, I wouldn't change the whole thing just yet, maybe do the colour you want in highlights to see how it looks, if you like it then dye the whole thing.
