Looking for a program! +Rep

Basically, I am looking for a program which pretty much sits on the desktop and looks really nice that i can easily (but doesn't look cheap or tacky) add reminders too and notes and stuff. I don't want to use the sidebar windows thing, just need something which looks nice.
