You can feel it as the needle goes in but it's just for a second. After that it hurts for about a day if you move your arm too much but its not unbearable! And after all three you get a purple wrist band :')

Well basically the worst part is the fear of it. I was petrified the first time I had to get it and it actually wasn't bad. You can feel the liquid go in and its really cold but it is over and done with in seconds. The way I see it is if it is going to hurt it will only be for a second or two it's worse cutting yourself shaving tbh. I suggest that once you get it done you keep moving your arm otherwise it will be sore the next day. Good luck I'm sure you'll be fine. + Rep Good question.

shut up u guys haven't had it
i am pretty tolerant with needles. however the first jab i couldn't go to school the next day because my arm was in agony, couldn't lift the shower head or take off my top ;l
2nd one however, i took an allergic reaction. the stupid ***** put the needle too far up my arm :@ my arm, back, stomach were all blotchy and purple n i got the shakes so idk how bad the 3rd one is. i refuse to get it.
so yeh doesn't hurt to get it done but afterwards...yeah...

Obviously I can't say much about the after-math as I've never had the HPV... but if you're worried about the needle it's absolutely nothing.
I remember a couple of years ago I had my tetanus, diptheria and polio booster and I was really scared from like.. the day I got the letter. Seriously, the needle is painless and you can't really feel it.. :)
Afterwards however.. I have no idea - but does it really matter? The vaccine is already in there so there's nothing you can do about it :P

I had mine last year, it goes in 'pinch pinch' and then out, so its just a couple seconds of a tiny pain like a pinch! Just KEEP MOVING YOUR ARM! it may be a bit hard, and you will want to keep it still but if you keep moving your arm you don't get the second day dead arm as much!

my first one, i got 3 different ones all at once so i didn't even know which it was ;P one of them hurt reallyyy bad but yeh. the last two did hurt me but i lived. i got them at age 11 and i'm so glad i just got them out of the way. i did feel them going in and injecting the stuff and whatnot but i didn't really have any muscle at all then so it was really painful going into my skinny little arm ;P it's not completely horrible.

It goes in then out, takes about 2 seconds that doesn't hurt, then you have to sit down for like 5 minutes in case you take badly to the needle (i highly doubt it you'll be fine).
Then after that for a day or two your arm will feel a bit heavy and it may sting a little, but it's nothing to worry about BUT MAKE SURE NOBODY HITS YOU IN IT otherwise it'll sting like a bint.
