http://www.bbspy.co.uk/images/news_img/142_cbb4_generic1.jpg Channel 4 will bring back Celebrity Big Brother for one last series before it ditches the BB format for good, The Daily Star has claimed.
According to the paper, the broadcaster has taken the unexpected decision to have one final star-studded run, despite Friday’s lavish finale which marked the apparent end of their association with the show.
A ‘source’ was quoted as saying: “Channel 4 has been really pleased with the ratings and amount of coverage for this year’s Big Brother and Ultimate Big Brother, so they don’t want to let it go just yet.
“It will probably look a bit strange after everyone thought it was the last we’d see of it on Channel 4, but it will be worth it financially for them to have one final run.”
They added: “The celebrity version always comes up trumps in the ratings, and there’s always a lot more drama because they all have big egos.”

Well known people won't go in most of the time, due to the risk of their careers being destroyed.

Glad it's a lie to be honest, it'd be silly to do another series (especially Celebrity) after that huge finale.

Just let it die. Was a good final, why ruin it. Tbh though Ultimate BB was awful really bar the final. Nothing interesting happened at all. They should have just done a big celeb one instead with actual famous people although as said above it would be hard to get very famous people.

Cant wait! however, I do think they should make their mind up is it finishing or not?! Anyway I heard it was switching to channel five same big brother but no davina?
If it did finish, it'd be back within a few years. Especially with the recent viewing, channel 4 would be stupid to let it die completely, it's one of the biggest shows in the country..

Urgh, just let it die. There's only so many times you can say "It's dying... It's dying again. It's nearly dead. It just came close to dying" before it gets boring.

The Big Brother final drew 4 million. The X Factor final last year drew 20.
Saying that it gets talked about as much as X Factor is hilarious. X Factor makes the news and front pages pretty much for the whole 4 months that it's on per year. Regardless, both shows are as fabricated as each other and I feel sorry for anyone fooled into paying to vote in those rackets.

Big Brother does get talked about as much as X Factor when it's on.. if not more, mainly disagreements and debates - "any publicity is good publicity" :P

just cos the x factor gets more figures doesnt mean its necessarily bigger. now i would say it is but big brother mostly gets attention from people like you who have such a huge problem with it and complain all the time. no ones asking you to watch it so shoo
