Driving laws help?

My mate (Uninsured, No license) just got caught driving my mates (Insured and license) car.

The police have seized his car and I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea on what happens?

Who gets the points, how many?

Your mate (uninsured, no licence) will get done for driving without insurance (6 points) and driving without a licence. He'll also get a massive fine and I'm not 100% sure what happens with the points as he hasn't got a licence. Your other mate (the one who has the licence and an insured car) will also get points for allowing him to drive the car, unless he took it without his permission in which case the other mate will get done for taking without consent, which also carries points, a fine and possibly a prison sentence.

People like this are absolute morons and what makes everyone's insurance more expensive. It pisses me off that I pay for my own insurance and road tax and people like this drive without.

To add to above, depending on whether your friends car was taken with permission or not he may also face a fine in order to get his car released.
