Eurgh... I've been permanently banned on my account Memorilla for apparently "scamming". It expires at 2/10/22 10:48 AM Eastern Time. I'm so frustrated. I don't recall doing or saying anything related to scamming. I sent a request saying I was unfairly banned and they replied back saying my account is going to be remain banned. I've asked for proof and they've been ignoring me ever since. Habbo seriously needs to think twice before banning people. :l

Tbh, they hardly ever listen now. There are only a few who are lucky enough to get unbanned. Habbo shouldn't really close ban appeals and such until they know all the facts. They should look at the chat logs and/or actions you took. :/

They've finally replied to my mum's email and said they would unban me. Funny how they don't even admit they were wrong.
Idiots man. They just dont care. Bunch of morons.

The problem is that you put a link on a sticki to a gaming site, but the words you used to promote that site were "visit to get free Habbo furni or coins!" Moderators aren't allowed to visit sites which are being advertised as having 'free coins' because they often contain malicious code designed to infect the visitor's computer. So from their point of view, they see a note encouraging people to go to a website for free furni or coins. Honestly if you were a moderator in that circumstance, wouldn't you think it was a scam?
The morale of the story is really not to joke around because the people moderating can't read your mind and don't know that you're not serious ;-)

... Do you mean my homepage? Gah, I didn't mean it in that kind of way. I desperately needed people to click my referral link so I offered credits and furnitre in return (Which I gave to those that did click my referral links), I also did imply that OMGPOP was a gaming site. Anyways, now that I have read over it, I was not clear enough and would seem as a scam site, sorry for the misunderstanding.

They're idiots, these mods ;l Can't stand that they make mistakes and don't take any accountability for them.

Surely they can set up a safe environment (VM) to test such links?

They're too lazy to do something like that, imo.

It's not practical to do that for each moderator around the globe, but a team in HQ does indeed do that. Moderators have to act on what they think the website is about based on the actual web address or the context in which it is given (e.g. habbofreecredits.com or "I got tons of free credits at pinkandred.tv"). Their first concern is protecting players, so if the details look as though they could be a scamsite they'll act on that basis rather than wait a few days to find out the results of a test (by which time, a ton of Habbos could have been scammed).
It's never a good idea to joke about things which have major consequences. If you walked through airport security and said "I've got a bomb in my bag" you'll be instantly arrested - they won't wait until they've checked out whether your claims are true or not because there's other people's safety and security at risk. Moderators operate on the same principle.

Surprised Sulake don't use this on their numerous advertisements. Truly fantastic. Only a Habbo staff member could say something like that.
