As if it could not get more obvious,

As you see, i blocked out any names & websites & mobile numbers..

And the No scam at the top, I love it when they do that XD But i have a feeling my friend is behind this...

So bumped into 2 scams today, they REALLY want me hacked eh? XD

Wow that's a novel scam. It's a bit risky for them putting their mobile number on.

And make the website look a bit more professional instead of looking like they just whipped together in 5 mins with paint :P.

At least construct a better website to scam someone on.
Not some tacky images and font. :)

I have to say, that was a pretty stupid scam. My six year-old niece knows nothing about computers (or Habbo, obviously) and she wouldn't fall for that.

Ooh, people still commenting :) Any news on how the phoning in went?

something tells me they're both you.

Edited by Sarah (Assistant Forum Manager): Please do not accuse other users of scamming, thanks.

It's quite a clever one when you think about it really, Habbo spend countless hours trying to educate their users on how to stay safe and list the most common ways users are scammed etc.. This however is the first time I have heard about a potential scam being done via text message. I imagine this will catch a few users out in the future!

I would take a stab and say hes using a "pay-as-you-go phone 'cuz its untraceable"

I agree, it's not that fool proof, if you get me. As you get credits via text. So a lot may fall for it.

Simple search on google popped up with the website, numbers on there :)

It's made using a free website host...at least most hackers buy a half-decent domain and put some effort into it. Although I agree it's clever in a dumb way. People text for credits, so they might believe it, although most numbers that charge money are like 5/6 numbers long and 88593 or w/e. So obviously using their real numbers is dumb.

I just prefer the hey, give me your pass I'll clone your furni for you - scam. :L

If people are stupid enough to do this, then at least make a untraceable Rat.
I mean who's going to send in a password.

That's a really odd scam. They must want to really go after your account(s). Watch out!

#1 an official habbo website would be like habbo.com/*page name* and if it was for staff wouldn't they simply edit .htaccess so only staff could enter the site :)
Fail hackers.

Well protection to staff systems for habbo is a lot more than directory access control, even Habbox has far more fail safe methods.

I love the way that on this "official" habbo page they use "Ur" as oppose to "Your"

Seen same scam, pinged the number, and it roots to a server... So it stores the data onto a database and then steal your account when your offline... so you dont realise till the next day. Ive met these sort of "phishers" before, and in no way are they at all smart.
One of the people who did this scam so unfortunatly used a free server to host it, and even more unluckily, he used one im a admin on.. So kinda bad, because we got his personal details, and soem trouble might come to his ip ;)

Hah XD This person will be slightly roasted by their parents. Some people really need to learn, scammers are found & parents won't be too happy!
