Hey I was just wondering, a while back was their a scam that if you could get rights in somebody room you could take their furni? Just it happened to me and I always wondered if he'd just put it in my wall or taken it.

Highly unlikely scam.

Are you sure you don't mean, that when rites were available to everyone in the room, donation rooms were made.
And because sometimes you couldn't see the room owners name in some cases some people got led into thinking the actual person was the owner if you get me.

An example would be, DJ Richie, having a Donation room, and the room owner name isn't applicable, and someone thinks it's his room so they place furni in the room.
Thats the only thing I can think of what you mean. :/

Sounds intresting but I have never heard of the scam. It could possibly be a hack on a hacking program but I am not really sure about it.

I'm not fairly new to Habbo been there a good few years.
So don't assume.

This scam sounds stupid and it's highly unlikely it would happen. And it's highly unlikely that it would happen now that habbo's the way it is.

I'd prefer proof of this scam tbh.

I had rights in a room once and there was a pick up button, but you couldn't pick it up when you pressed it. Dunno if you mean that

Back in the early days of Habbo, you were allowed to place your own furniture in another person's room if you had rights within it. Once you dropped the item, it became the possession of the room owner (known as donating).

Over the years, Habbo has done away with donating to mitigate the likelihood of the scam you mentioned from happening. In the five years I've been on Habbo US, I've never seen or heard anyone who was scammed by another using the scam you mentioned. I've known that if you had rights in a room, a Pick Up button appeared when you clicked on an item in the room, but nothing happened when you clicked on it.

I'm curious as to how it happened to you.

There was a script years back when people could move furni behind the walls if they had rights, so some people would put thrones and stuff behind the walls in casinos to make owners think they have been hacked.

When habbo released the commands with Habbo Club (:furni) they said a good thing about it is, if someone has hidden furni in your walls you can move it out, if not you needed a mod to do it.

Not been possible for years now though and tbh i've never seen it done (other than with teleports in doors)

Thanks. finally someone that helped and to all those saying I was hacked I strictly remember giving the person rights and one thing disappearing,

When I say fairly new I do mean a few years, this scam was back in habbos very early stages in 2004/05 time, so please don't assume that 'a good few years' isn't new to me

Thanks.

Yeh steve used to do it too me all the time.
The furni went behind the wall where the 2 walls met, so basically in the corner, so ambers oil lamps rare trophy sets were impossible to get hold of unless someone had gold hc [were only people with :furni command] if you had thrones there you had to rotate them so the owner would find it really hard to move them out.

Didnt that have something to do with "heightmap" or something like that?

I didn't assume, you voiced your opinion and I responded. Not my fault if you don't clarify what new is now is it?

And thanks Dan never heard of that before, I've seen the teleporter before though :).

Yeah as one of the guys above said, I've never heard of furniture being taken but I do remember furniture in rooms being able to script and add the furniture behind walls (was annoying to non hcs because they had to get moderators to come fish it out).

You can still see this in the odd room or two tho where teleporters were stacked behind walls, did look good aswell ;p
