View Full Version : Would you want to believe in a religion?
Well, I guess this is more for those who aren't religious.
But if somebody could prove their was a god (for example Christianity) would you actually want to believe in it? Knowing you would have to believe in heaven & hell and prophets etc..?
I don't know really, I like to live life to my own terms and goals.

The only religion I could ever follow is buddhism. It makes the most sense and it's about inner-peace rather than the crap about god.
i hate religion, it's corruptive, maniuplative and a load of crap. only bonus i can think of is it gives some people something to believe in, whereas personally i'd rather believe in something better lol.

I am a devoted member of the Aum Shinrikyo, but seriously no I wouldn't. I'd rather live my own life by my own rules.

Never. Religion is at odds with everything I am as a person and is in my opinion tantamount to imprisonment of the mind.

I really honestly don't know how I would react if religion was to be proved right.
I'm one of these annoying people who doesnt really know what to believe, I would never say there isn't a God because you simply can't prove whether there is a God or not so there's no point even arguing over it. However I don't follow any particular religion, and due to studying sociology it kind of makes sense that humans have only created a religion as a comfort blanket and to give meaning to life.
So pretty much I believe there could perhaps be some sort of God but maybe not in the sense religion describes it, and I live my life on my own terms.
