Madeira Beach

This is a room that I built for Habbo's "The List" room competition that made the list for January 2009. Over the years, I've upgraded the room and made it look better than what it does now. If I still had the old screenshot, I'd show you a side-by-side comparison of the before and after screenshots.

Really really impressed, is it part of a village? Or.. Just a stand alone room?

Nice room! Maybe you can use roads instead of the rugs and mats? Very nice otherwise!

I've considered replacing the rugs/mats with the roads, and I actually have some in my inventory to use. For some reason though, I don't want to go through with it, for the simple fact that I don't want to run into the possibility of things not clashing together like I want them to.

It's a stand-alone room too, so it's not a part of a room series. Although, I have considered the possibility of building it into some kind of village/city. I'm just not sure though.

Thanks to you guys for the positive feedback on the room! I'll see what I can do to keep improving it. If you have any other suggestions on how I could improve it, feel free to let me know. =)

Is this supposed to be an actual beach in Madeira?
Me being born there and being raised there i know exactly what the beaches there look like, and honestly this room brings back memories. It's really nicely designed. It actually reminds me of a beach in Funchal just because there is a main road behind with palm trees and obviously lamp posts.
Nice room i need to go check it out and add it to my favs :)

If its not a beach from Madeira or the one im talking about then XD What a coincidence
PS: I've just checked the room and noticed how you'ce changed it to a two way road, damn it looks it like so much *_*

I must say that I'm flattered to have created a room that brings you memories.

Unfortunately, it's a nothing more than a mere coincidence. Madeira Beach is a small, beach community back in my hometown. As for the recent room changes, I've been meaning to get a new screenie and update the thread with how it looks now, I just haven't been able to find the time.

I do appreciate the compliments on the room though. It's a continuing project for me, which means that over time it'll get better and better, at least in my opinion.

My mum was recently on holidays, she took a few pictures at the location i'm talking about, i'll deffo try to find one that shows what i mean.

Edit: Nevermind, it has changed ALOT since i was last there :( I dno if you heard about the massive floods there so :/
