last.fm like scrobbler

anyone have any idea how they made this or how i could make one similair but less involved, basically i just want it to take current song from wmp or itunes and then insert it to mysql or upload it in textfile via ftp. any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I dunno about the SQL bit or whatever but Last.FM uses plugins for iTunes and WMP to grab the song information, so you'd have to learn how to interface with those first.
