What does everyone think? I'm not quite sure what to think of it really, I'm not a huge BlackBerry fan.

The OS looks very nice, very much like WebOS. However what the **** have they shoved that gorgeous OS in?! It looks like a giant photoframe with the huge frame :|

Screen could be bigger, but I bet thats what they wanted to do... Not peak with a huge massive screen straight away. Doesn't look terrible, and hell the specs sound pretty decent to me. Has flash too, which is nice. Really it looks like they've shipped out a Wi-Fi only version, to see whether their market is interested in it enough, and if so, theyll release the better models. :P

The OS looks amazing and the features are brilliant. Would love to know the price.

I'm quite content with my iPad but I'm quite excited to see what other companies do. The pictures there look appealing. If they make a Windows tablet with really good battery life and a nice keyboard I'm going to really regret buying my iPad :P

Nothing on it resembles a Blackberry to me, could of been released by any company. Apple cashed in on the success of the iPhone and iPods to make the iPad a success.
Blackberry's are immensely popular phones too, why not create a device which resembles parts of a Blackberry to tempt people to buy the accompanying tablet?

I'm really surprised to see how small this thing is in comparison to the iPad!

Looks pretty good to me, you can't really tell it's a BlackBerry, but that's probably because it lacks any sort of physical keyboard. Does it actually record HD video, or are they using dumb-speak when they actually mean "The picture quality is better than expected"? It has multi-tasking so it technically beats an iPad, and the specs are pretty decent. I can see business people buying it, possibly due to the phones but not sure if there'd be an immediate use... The iPad afterall didn't go straight for businesses, quite alot went to Apple fans who buy anything with an 'i' in front :P

I felt the same way about the iPad and multitasking. Infact I seriously considered returning mine because I couldn't multitask. But then I found a 4.2 upgrade on Google. I installed it and it gave me multitasking and since then I have been very content. Other then the multitasking problem my other big complaint is that I make many mistakes on the keyboard, although its more than likely that I am just a horrible typer to begin with!

Never really paid attention to any Blackberry devices if I'm honest. This looks quite smart though :)
i've grown to hate my blackberry phone, but this looks pretty nice really.
one of my major problems with the blackberry is the camera which is nowhere near 3mp or whatever it's supposed to be. would like to see whether the quality is any better on their tablets.
likes alot.

You'd have to treat it like a giant keyboard :P Lay it on a table and type with both hands. I can see myself doing that, or using Swype if I was using an Android device :P

You can have a good looking 0.3mp camera, it's just dependant on the hardware the camera uses, like the sensors etc, not how many megapixels it is :P

That happens when you drop it on your face.
The tablet is TINYYYY though.

Looks nice, but would never ever appeal to me. Don't like BlackBerry's, never have never will.
I don't think it will even get close to to the iPad.
Competition is good though.
EDIT - whats the point in having a tablet of that size? just stick to smartphones if they're going to be that size tbh.

Yeah that's the problem I face.
If I put it on my lap then I like to have my knees up as so the screen is tilted accordingly; but of course it slides down onto my belly if I do that.
If I try to hold it like, well--a game boy or phone of sorts then I completely fail at typing on it with two thumbs. It just doesn't work for me :P
good specs by the looks of things. Any word on the price?
however. I do feel as if a tablet should be big. at least bigger than that anyway.

On the latter I agree with you. I really do. Although maybe I have to see it first to really be certain. It just looks so small to me though!
I'm not a big fan of blackberry, however the spec looks quite decent and I'm in love with how small it is. :)

Hmmm, hard to say really if it is too small :/ The iPad is probably verging on being a bit too big for a handheld device, you can have it a few metres away and have a decent enough picture rather than have your head in it like most people do, so it could be an ideal size. It's hard to get an idea of the size from the internet :P

It is sort of awkward to hold sometimes, but the cases for them make it easier, the one I have converts into a stand.

I was thinking more in terms of being on a train, on a bus or in an airport where you have to hold it (places I've seen them used at least). They seem kinda awkward to hold for a handheld device, but they do the job. Not sure if the screen size really adds anymore benefits though, when a smaller device might make no difference. Hard to explain without holding both of them and slamming my face into them :P

I just got my Amazon Kindle and to be honest, a tablet the same size/weight of it would be amazing.
