The Throne's value has now hit around 595 credits, which is one of the lowest points it has been at since the EN hotel formed. Do you think it will continue to drop and never go back up, or drop a little more and then reach an all time high? Post your views here.

Personally I think it will drop to around 570-580 credits, or 550 credits at the lowest and then go back up over 700 credits.

I'm not a trading expert but I can see it continuing to erode on the Market Place. People will want fast trades and continue to lower the price and it will just carry on going down and down. It will level out sooner or later but I can't see it reaching the peaks it has in the past. I could be totally wrong though.

I agree. Although when I came online this morning, the cheapest offer was 599c and then back to 600c and then 599c but now that people have come back from school, it's gone down more (as I predicted :P) and the cheapest offer is 596c. This is only the marketplace though and there were people selling them for 650c in some casinos earlier and a lot of people struggling to sell them for 600c.

Personally I think this is due to the Battle Banzai furniture being released. People automatically rush into buying the furniture, and with no credits, sell their rare items for cheap in order to get credits immediately. I've seen many people on my consol saying things like "Hurry buy by throne out of market place, going really cheappppppp 50 coins prof", I've even done it myself at times..

I suggest y'all turn down offers under 650 then we'll watch the prices sneak back up.

I agree with the above. Soon the battle banzai furni will wear off and they will be buying thrones higher and higher. I can see it dropping like hc's though but we will just have to wait and see.

I can see how the Battle Banzai release can affect it and if it is that which has caused the drop more than anything else, then I don't think theyll drop anymore below around 570 credits. I would like them to go to around 530-550 though, then I'll invest in a few :P

I'd like to see it lower. On a brighter note, most laser gates seem to have shone recently.

I've noticed that! Every day I get at least one or two people asking to buy my lasers but I decline their offer :P

I have to say a boom was lurking, the prices of some of those lasers were lower than what they were on UK. And with 10,000 or so more users you'd have thought they'd be worth more. I guess people came to their senses!

Many people are also predicting a boom in the super rares market. Only time will tell!

Good, I need my Violet and Venus smokes to increase, so I feel slightly better about what I paid for them. ;) Smokes don't seem very popular on this new hotel, such a shame...

Lol I noticed that. My grey smoke machines are under a quarter of what I paid for them!

Anyway, back to the throne. The cheapest is now 595c, so they haven't gone down much on the marketplace but tomorrow morning for those of us in the UK, I think they'll be slightly lower.

With the Marketplace feature, I see the eventual drop of practically all super rares. Anyone who has too much money to know what to do with can easily purchase them.

Seeing that the Throne has hit an all-time low doesn't surprise me. In fact, I'm sure a lot of other rares will be following suit in the near future.

Of course, this is just my opinion. I'm in no way, shape or form a values expert; this is just what I think will happen.

I think it depends what you mean by all super rares dropping. If you mean for all of them to be low and for no item at all to be over let's say 1000c, then I personally think that's unlikely. I can see why it will slow down the process of a super rare boom but in general, super rares and indeed all rares get rarer as time goes by and theoretically it would seem more likely for all super rates to be stable in value throughout their existence.

Although I agree that other rares could follow suit of the throne, reaching an all time low, I doubt it will happen to all rares and I believe that some rates will have an opposite reaction and possibly reach an all time high.

As for people having a lot of credits, not knowing what to do with them and then buying the super rares, I actually think that could help push super rares up in value, as it takes the cheap ones off the marketplace and replaces them with more expensive offers. This obviously doesn't mean the value will go up, however.

I know why they decreased after the merge aswell as the HC's and other rares. Super rares such as the throne was worth loads back in early 2010 and 2009 because not so many were given out on the UK hotel which actually made them SUPER rare. I know they have not yet been released in the catalogue and never will except the marketplace which makes them super rare. Now all the EN hotels have been merged into one massive hotel - the amount of the thrones have highly increased forcing the price to decrease as many trades have been made which makes them now a common rare and not an uncommon rare within the hotel.

That is a brief story on why it has been decreasing along with HC's although I do have a feeling they will go up some time aswell. Also if you don't understand the story because I haven't explained it properly then sorry!

In my opinion, I think thrones were common even on the UK hotel, where over 50000 were orginally given out. It was only demand which pushed them up in value and the fact that they quickly became a currency for super rare owners in particular. On the EN hotel now, there is definately a lot of thrones and likely over the 50000 mark, making them far above common. I personally see any item with over 5000-10000 being classed as common.

To compare todays prices to our usual prices (back in January when the UK had its highest market peak ever) you have to go by, 10 C = 1 CS. The Throne is now worth around 60 CS which is just terrible really, along with Bird Baths which are worth 10 CS - 40 CS nowadays.

Eventually when everything settles I think we will have a big increase across the board, its just predicting when.

the only reason thrones will never crash is that the people who own them aren't stupid enough to let it 'do a HC'.

You say that now and then it happened to HC's. Just don't sell your thrones and then later on raise all your prices about 50 credits up and then keep doing it untill people start buying them and then the value will keep going up!

The problem is that this is happening and started around the same time (late 2009/early 2010) as when people lost confidence in the Club Sofa. The Throne maybe has not been that dramatic, but it seems to be going to a natural price just as the Club Sofa did, because lets face it; the Throne is worth more than it is actually worth even with its immense demand. Usually a item rises with demand and supply, with the Throne supply exceeds demand yet it continously has risen throughout its history.

It stands at 550 C now when around this time last year it stood at around 1200 C, considering at the start of the merge it was around the 900 C mark; it could go even lower.
