hidei hi

right so a few mates are over mine for halloween, and what better than to have a few or a couple of horror dvds?

however, what ones are the best?

i know saw is absoulutely incredibly but for whatever reason we're restricted to 15's only and saw is an 18. (it sucks)

but nevermind, +rep will be awarded to people that come up with good movie suggestions for this and that are 15's

thanks much
aled :D

Wrong forum.

Calling any other film in the Saw series apart from the original "incredible" is rather unjust, but regardless... horror movies. The best carry an 18 certificate, so let me rack my brain for decent 15 and under certificate films in the genre...

Paranormal Activity
Final Destination
Psycho

Difficult to think of any that you'd be interested in that aren't for adults.

Im scared of anything with people in a costume, such as Scream.

There was a film on Sky Premiere last week, "Sorority Row" try and record it if your on +, or try and watch/record it from Sky Anytime. Also The Last House on the Left gave me a few jumps. The man you want to reply here is Misawa, brb.

I'm not sure what certificate Sorority Row (the remake of The House on Sorority Row) is, but I suspect it's 18. Last House on the Left's surprisingly decent yet inferior remake is an 18.

wow fast replies.

yeah well i just get creeped out by saw, you know, seeing people having their limbs twisted and hands broken until non-repairable.

syeah

im actually more comforted by the likes of a gruesome film, with a saw threading through the chest (at the beginning of one of the Saw films, believe it or not) rather than a woman being chased in the woods with a sick and twisted geezer with a machete

saw trillogy

Read the thread properly...

And Saw is not a trilogy, it's a septology.

I'm pretty sure the ring is a 15, it is one of the only films I've watched and still scares me.

Resident evil maybe? Predators? I spit on your grave?

Probably not even horrors haha but its a few what will scare if your into that.

Cant you just get a movie and say its a 15?

Why would you watch Predators when you can watch Predator? The original I Spit on Your Grave is an 18, as is the remake, which isn't even out yet (though I've seen it and it's great).

[REC] and [REC] 2 are both 18.

it's a real shame most of them are 18's

im really tryna persuade my mother to let me have em, otherwise things are kindy get sucky.

is one missed call, the strangers or orphan any good?

Misawa

The Strangers is okay, the other two are awful.

The Orphanage is a 15, that's excellent.

Personal opinion's there..

Imo Paranormal Activity wasn't scary, was quite boring actually. The only bit that was scaryish was right at the end :l

Paranormal Activity was pretty crap,
Zombieland is sick even though its a Horror/Comedy. If you are allowed to see and 18 then watch The Shining or 28 Days Later or The Hills Have Eyes

Hot fuzz and shawn of the dead for a bit of light hearted horror com ;)

I'm not sure of the rating but The Cube is one of the best horros in my opinion ;)

Ok thanks again.

Yeah maybe like a comedy and horror wouldn't go down too badly?

I was thinking Scary Movie 3 and maybe Hot Fuzz?

Misawa

Hot Fuzz is good, Scary Movie 3 is bad.

How come you're only limited to 15? All the good horrors are 18.

I found The Descent pretty scary because it's set in a dark and claustrophobic cave. 28 Days Later is a good film and has it's scary moments.

The remake of The Thing scared me when I was younger, ain't watched it since.
