So. Apple was hired, even though he has only been on the forum for two months.

Instead of people moaning about it, singling him out, why don't you give him a chance to do well? Seriously, why are people getting so tempered by it?

Personally I think Martin and James made the right decision - Apple probably deserves the chance more than anyone else on that list in my opinion.

Agreed. He is the only really new one in the list apart from Shar, he does deserve it as his dedication is absolutely amazing. I have already wished him luck, and I know it was a mistake, but it was a mistake which will have a positive effect on HxF, and doing what garion said about making the criteria, not compulsary in a way, that if you don't have them you may not be hired, would be good.

Anyway, good luck. Good choice indeed.

Not sure if it was a mistake myself - I assumed Martin and James wanted to calm people down a bit. Of course I might be wrong, but in the whole fire I probably would have tried to do that to calm people?

However he never seems to cause arguments from what I have seen - can't see ANY other reason for people to moan apart from jealousy?

Yeah but more importantly I wish apple luck on his trial, he deserves the trial and i feel really bad for him, so much hate over a tiny mistake by management... He is active enough on the forums and deserves it as much as anyone else does.

Anyway there's already a thread of similar support in this forum but I agree that the complainers/moaners are probably complaining for something to rant about rather than because they actually believe in what they're saying.

I didn't even realise he has only been here 2 months. He is very active in WC forums and helpful. Certainly deserves a chance, if anything more than a certain other trialist.

Whether you think it was fair decision or not, there's no disputing the fact Apple deserves the position. As Saurav has said, he deserves it more than any of them imo :)
