While in Buenos Aires, a friend and I had a hankering for a pizza made by
someone who wasn't an Argentine. Can you blame us. We walked to the local
Carrefour and purchased all the ingredients we needed and when we got back to
the hostel we discovered the horror that is a lack of an oven.

This is how we coped.

First we found a large pot which the the pizza base could fit into. Then we
found a cake tray grill so the bottom of the pizza would not burn. We put the
pizza inside the pot on top of the cake tray and turned on the stove.

Eventually it cooked like a normal pizza. There
was some mess as you can see but who cares. We had pizza.

We enjoyed our special stove pizza with a side of
Mister Potato chips. Delicious!

Sometimes it's worth cooking in your hostel even
if you have to be creative. You can save money and sometimes you'll get that
meal that just can't be bought at a restaurant. That makes it all worth
while.

Very creative! I wish he could of told us how long it took. For a pizza that size I'd guess about 12 mins in a pre-heated oven. Wouldn't be surprised if it took him half an hour to cook it like that.

Should've put a lid on. Much faster.

The topping isn't cooked. What a load of crap

Should've put a lid on. Much faster.

That would of just kept the moisture in and made the pizza soggy rather than actually cooking it like an oven would. :P

Good point. A lid with a small hole then?

Don't all stove lids have holes in anyway?

It's cooked, maybe not as well as in an Oven. But it was cooked ;) Extra slimming as well.

I'm guessing the base was "cooked" and the toppings left raw? A clever idea, but I wouldn't try it :P

Totally uncooked pizza, cutlery in the wrong hands and a meat cleaver to slice it. Nice.
