Best screen recorder??

Hello!

this is the first time i have ever posted in here so sorry if I'm not very technical :P

basically i need a good screen recorder (to record 600x800 or higher) in good quality.
if its free great if not only cheep stuff.

I'd disagree. The Best Windows option is CamStudio. Best Mac Option is Quicktime.

my bad, i got them the wrong way round.
Camtasia costs loads and camstudio doesn't.
i was going to edit but you were to quick with the reply :P

EDIT: i just tried out canstudio and i personally thought it was really bad, bit tricky to set it up and i much prefer Hypercam 2 so i'll stick with that.
