Notch has been tweeting about it and is fixing the problem. He mentioned this as well: "Hah, the server ran out of hd space, getting filled with access logs."

Well that's depressing. If it is indeed down, I can't take a look at the game. And I had a perfect opportunity to do so now, as I'm taking a break from packing...
