Yer thought this might be an interesting thread!

What film franchises have you given up on and why?

Mine, off the top of my head are;
- Final Destination (fourth one ruined it for me)
- Resident Evil (same as above)

They have to be franchises that you used to really love, not ones you never liked in the first place! :P

If the next Saw wasn't the last, that would probably be on my list too.

EDIT: Oh also it'd probably be better if the franchise included a film released in the last 10 years.... so not a franchise that died a while ago haha.

I agree with you on this. I think that the Saw franchise came out with the right amount of movies and they kept the masses interested by making it all confusing like it is with a secret plot and story. I like the movies, however they seem to be losing their following with each movie as they seem to be more and more like the same. That's most likely why they're making this the final movie.

I didn't even see Shrek 4. Didn't think it was worth my time.

It's the final film because of the increasingly poor box office.

I gave Shrek 4 a pass.

Oo thats definitely another one. I loved the first 2.

Might be giving Transformers 3 a miss too due to how terrible the second one was.

Pirates of the Caribbean as well.

Pirates of the Carribbean I'm actually curious as to how they're going to pull off the next one.

Shrek is the only one.

I find final destination good only due to the gore.
Resident evil Afterlife was pretty alright only due to wentworth kicking ass.

I gave Shrek 4 a pass.

This. I always thought Terminator 3 and 4 were going down hill compared to the first two.
