How did you learn of Habbo?

Can't see one of these threads about anywhere (so I'm not sure if one has been posted recently or not... :P) but how did you learn of/find out about habbo?

I first heard of it at school when my friend told me to check it out.

My friend showed me it and then I signed up there and then :P A few weeks later, he showed me Runescape and I moved to that but then moved back a few months later :P:)

Well, my sisters friend introduced her, and asked her if she wanted an account. But my sister made one herself.
I never bothered tbh, but when I had an operation to have 4 teeth removed, spending a none stop 6 hours on a laptop was boring, so I decided to sign up, but never got into it, I made another account a month later, never really got into it much, but my sister was playing now.
And then I got into it fully, got permed in like my first 3 months got unpermed and listened to HxL a lot. :D

I first heard of Habbo when I was going through a gaming website way back in 2004 and I was hooked straight away.

my friend who lived on my road was round my house once and was showing this new awesum game that he'd found. THat being habbo, i tried it later on when he'd gone and loved it.

My friend up my nans across the road found it from his cousin or a friend in School I think. Well anyway, he phoned me and we were on the phone and he said to come on Habbo, I went to Habbo.com and he said meet him at the picnic area and I went there and he wasn't even there! After a while we realised.. I was on .com and he was on .co.uk so I started getting used to the .com Hotel and eventually switched to the UK hotel. :)

My sister found it from my Godfather's daughter. Back when rooms were deleted when empty and rooms could only be made from the room-o-matic or w/e it's called.

Back in 2004 me and my friends in school used to play Coke Music and one day my friend recommended Habbo. At first I was sceptical because you had to pay real money for stuff but I gave up on Coke Music and started playing Habbo before long.

Four or five of my mates at school used it from about 2003. I tried it once in 2004 and was just utterly confused by it (Why was everyone standing in a line queueing for something I didn't know, this later turned out to be a trade shop). Then I tried it in 2005 and fell in love with it, I was in Year 6 at this point. Within a week I was much more established and richer in the game than they were and they all quit lol. They've always said introducing me to Habbo was the worst thing they ever did, not wrong there.

Way, WAY back in the day, a couple buddies of mine in middle school stumbled upon the UK hotel. Being the kids that we were, we found it a good way to pass time in class, not doing any work so we could run around aimlessly and do whatever we wanted. I don't quite know where they discovered it, however.
