Hi there,
I plan on upgrading to Windows 7 during the weekend, and wondering what I will need to do about pre-installed drivers such as; realtech sound, display drivers, graphics drivers etc.
Will I need to find them and re-install them on 7? I plan on doing a fresh install for various reasons.

Most drivers are installed automatically with Windows 7, you'll just need to get the ones it doesn't find and the most recent graphics card drivers and you'll be set.
Why Windows 7 Ultimate btw? It's gunna be full of stuff you're not going to use lol

Most vista drivers will install on win7 if you run their installers in compatibility mode :)
I use win7 ultimate 64bit and its really good. :)

W7 Ultimate is pointless in comparison to Vista Ultimate, at least in Vista Ultimate there were some useful features, in W7 all you get is full drive encryption.

Who cares what edition, at least his upgrading to a newer OS :/.
Windows 7 has found all drivers I needed on all the computers which I have fixed up. Vista and Windows 7 Drivers are near smiliar if not the same. Just make sure your internet works and download all the drivers via Windows Update.

I upgraded to Windows 7 yesterday. It it is brilliant, and the upgrade was really worthwhile. Thanks to everyone who assisted :)
I've fixed the teething problems - and have a stable os now thankfully.
