Hey, I know that before there was a creative writing sub-forum which in my opinion had quite a lot of posts in it. Now when I go to use it, it's gone :P I think that it should be a sub forum in the disscuss anything forum or the education forum. Anyone else agree disagree? you could post school essays in it that your proud of, song lyrics, stories you have wrote or film scripts (that's what I wanted to post). Anyway, what do you all think?

There used to be a big forum with that stuff but, in all honest, it went dead. :(

I honestly don't see it being that popular. I think that you can just as easily post in Discuss Anything. The forum needs less forums not more and I really do think it'd just die after a few months.

Honestly, I don't think it would die as i'm sure the other had loads of posts in it and if it's a sub forum in a more popular forum then it's going to get noticed more and maybe more people would post in it. Anyway, I wouldn't no where to post my script as i wan't people interested in the topic to post responses to it rather than people looking to increase their post count, so a subforum would be suitable, well, in my opinion anyway it would..

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for it to be back. I used to post scripts, poems etc all the time but it kinda just died.

Funny enough, I remember that you use to post scripts in there :P and there was someone else, can't remember who and they also use to post in there and you were like rivals :P. I still think this is a worthy sub forum, you can post anything in there that you've written :D Misawa would probably use it like loads, you would, I would that's already a larger clientale than that of the runescape forum :P:P I'm joking obviously, but i'm sure people would use it :D

I'm a writer and I used to post in there a fair amount, but in the end I could see that there were maybe 2 threads a week at most so I told @@@@@@@@ANGRY@@@@@@@@ to merge it all into Discuss Anything, which he did like a good GM should when I tell them things. There simply aren't enough literate people around for it to be popular as it's no real reward for a writer to just see OH YEAH THAT'S GOOD!!!! which is basically what every thread got no matter how crap it was - as long as it was short and used simple words of course. I think Joey's scripts were the only exception to that rule, because being a series rather than a few singular entries they got a following who wanted to know what happened next and would actually read it

He's right. Things like Poems or one-offs just fell dead.

But that was what, like two years ago? You never know, some of the new members may add a lot to the topics in there :) I just think, it would be worth a try, and if it dies, then you could remove it.

lol you seen any of the recent threads where kids post their scrawlings? There's not exactly an abundance of talent around here in that department. I think rather than add it then delete it, see how well posting writing threads in DA goes and if you somehow manage to get a huge following of budding authors, playwrights and poets then it may be worth the effort

I like writing in my spare time, and I like this idea :) Though, I think FlyingJesus does have a valid point...
