I've never really had that problem, but I do see where you are coming from.
Wait, I think I do know what you mean, I remember first texting someone off Habbo, it was actually about this time last year, I had no credit so I just let him text me, I came out of the awards ceromony I was currently at. I didn't have any new texts, I looked a minute later there we're 4. By time I got out of school there was 7 it just kept building and I couldn't read one as another just came up.
At the end of the day, ignoring may be the key, it may be a difficult and bad choice, but sometimes it has to be done.
However, maybe because he/she has only just got your number, she/he may be a little excited, so appears clingy.
Should all calm down though.
Lol at Robbie.

It depends what mood I am in, a lot of the time it's just like "oh go away cba" but if I really like the person and I am actually interested in chatting to them then why not?

i agree with op
althought i admit i do like it when its someone you actually like speaking to you, not someone who frustrates you and is like a dog humping your leg.

aha I'm the same. although someone did start by texting stupidly, then when she realised I use full words and punctuation started doing it herself. she wasn't a keeper though.

Watch out Tara's clingy
But yeah I don't get this problem because if I don't wanna talk to someone I just won't, so unless they're full on mental stalkers (Fry) they don't keep texting and whatever when there's no conversation happening

i'm not in the slightest clingy but my girlfriend's mum sure thinks i am lol
if it's someone i like to talk to texts me a lot then it doesn't bother me at all but if it's someone who proper gets on ya **** then it's a pain
yeah everyone hates a clinger even if you're one you still find it annoying.
sorry i'll stop texting u then. lol'd so hard.
I'm going out with a clingy person at the moment, she's driving me up the wall with the amount of texts. I just told her to stop. and she did!
Maybe you should try this method? :P

I think I'm quite clingy sometimes, and I don't mean to be. :'( I just get bored of having nobody to talk to I guess and end up pestering people on here too much, although I really do like them and just enjoy talking to them as it makes me happy and stuff. xD Try to do my best to avoid it, just don't like going long periods without catching up with people I guess. :P

I suppose its okay in some sense because it shows how much they like you.

It's perfectly fine with some people if you want to be close to them too, but I suppose it's when you don't that they come off as over clingy.
Depends..if they're annoyingly clingy then it just its just taking the mick
