We were so poor, If we played a team with any quality we would have been beaten tonight. Dire.

Thought that the Gomes sending off was a tough call but if we had vdV playing and King/Dawson fit we really could have given them a run for their money.

Maybe however I'm sure as hell Bale can't carry Spurs like that for the full season, I'm 100% sure he can't three score three goals of that high quality every game! If he can then I take my hat off to him and speak the words "Messi who?"... but I doubt he'll be able to, and it's a good job too considering I'm not wearing a hat.

He was pretty average last weekend. We desperately need to buy another decent striker if we are to achieve a top 4 finish this year and improve the chances of hanging on to him.

Rooney.
Gomes deserved to be sent off though. People may say it was early in the game, but at the end of the day he was committed and he basically didn't win the ball and denied a goal scoring opportunity.

Referees should consider the following circumstances when deciding whether
to send off a player for denying a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity:
• the distance between the offence and the goal
• the likelihood of keeping or gaining control of the ball
• the direction of the play
• the location and number of defenders
• the offence which denies an opponent an obvious goalscoring opportunity
may be an offence that incurs a direct free kick or an indirect free kick
That's the criteria apparently. BAE was on his shoulder and the Inter player didn't have total control of the ball. It's a tricky one, penalty yes but the sending off is debatable.
Thought Benitez was cheeky waving for a card.

Well this Inter player (i feel sorry for not knowing his name, I do apologize) either has a simple tap in after taking it past Gomes, gets fouled by the defender or gets tackled fairly. i'd bet him winning the race and tapping it in.
Plus it's heat of the moment, the home side are appealing in thousands. it's a 2 second decision, and following the reaction thats generally how the referee decides.

Haha, apparently after Bale scored his hat-trick Inter fans were shouting 'busman' (waiter) at Rafa.

Rangers are my second team ,i thought we played well against Valencia. Missed a few easy chances but still got a point out of the game after an own goal :l
