In future it might be a good idea to give a proper Closed message than "N/a" so if any new member comes, they don't get confused as hell.

Threads merged by Bolt660 (Forum Super Moderator)

and ******s saying I am moaning, I am not. I am just saying its better in future to avoid confusion. And look someone else posted this too ... http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=671149&p=6784483#post6784483

I agree. Would be nice to know what's happening or when we can expect the forum to re-open. :)
Although was only a short down-time, would be nice to know if we're waiting a long time and surely the closed message saying "Be back in 30 mins" or whatever takes only a few seconds to write..

Oh for god's sake. It was down for like 10 mins and was probably a quickie. If there is gonna be a long downtime they throw up a message. Do we really need to pick at everything?!

Its still helpful for users to know how long it will be down for :S New users will have no idea what N/a is for.

Yeah I though Habbox was closing down. A simple "see you in half hour" is efficiant.

You sat there f5ing? You love habbox

I can kinda see your point however I'm not entirely sure the reasons for this downtime, and there could have been exceptional circumstances or whatever, however maybe a link to the other habbox sites, or something added in there would be good too as well as as you said a note giving an estimated return time or something. I can undertand how it could appear to new members etc, but I guess it wasn't too long.

However though, it was only really a tiny downtime, and perhaps this is taking things out of proportion somewhat. :P

Its not over picky. I am just saying its confusing for new and old members. I mean Garion thought he was banned ... and graham was like WTH IS HAPPENING :s
Instead of N/a, "we will open again soon" is so much less confusing.

Saurav you're a great member and everything but I swear to God you just find ways to moan. It was no big deal, they probably didn't put a message because it was a quick downtime. Nobody was hurt. No new member is going to go off and cry in the corner.

I am not moaning ffs, I am just giving FEEDBACK that in future it might be better to put something else.
Last time I moaned was the PM thing and even Jamesy agreed with me when I spoke to him about it on MSN.

Yeah but feedback should be about important stuff that actually matter. Not about a little message that was up for 10 minutes. Because the more you go on and moan the less people are gonna want to listen when you have something important and useful to say.

Like I said, you say 10 mins because it opened. MattGarner had no clue. Garion thought he was banned. Half the people I spoke to were clueless. Let me repost the below as I added it later to my post above:

ITS NOT ******* MOANING. ITS CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK WHICH DOESN'T REQUIRE A DAMN ARGUMENT. LOOK AT POST NUMBER 2, I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO ******* POSTED THIS. Gosh.

In fairness I did think I was banned so a new member might. If a forum people are using randomly goes down with a reason "n/a" you do wonder what the hell is going on, and when senior members of management aren't informed as to why you do think - what the hell?!

When I was AGM I made it clear that the forum shouldn't really go down at peak times without good reason and I don't see any major changes so it does make one wonder why it went down and why adequate reason wasn't given. It's not a big deal but it's common sense and courtesy to give your dedicated members an idea as to why they are unable to access the forum.

I get that people don't know but if Jin sent it down, I would rather he focus on doing what he was doing. Maybe it was an accident? I'm just saying can't we leave it at "hmm that's odd" rather than making it a feedback thread? Not everything needs to be said on here.

I personally assumed jin put it down in part of his moan from the other feedback thread?

Although I agree with what jin said in the thread, my first thought was he was just trying to show the members who is in charge?

I am not saying we should get a reason as to why it closed. Just a message saying "Hey its closed while we fix or edit something. We will be back soon" is less confusing than vBulletin Message: N/a" and the General Manager has no clue when it will be back.

That isn't showing the members whos in charge, that's being immature and throwing toys out of the pram. (If that thread is the reason it was closed)

Sorry this is a script I am working on that is supposed to automatically close habbox sites if it detects an intrusion, unfortunatly it isn't working as intended. Capturing the intrusions correctly just not updating the databases in the correct manner also doesnt seem to understand the parameter "--dryrun" :(

I get that the GM might not have known but it might've been a quick thing that took longer than expected. I just think there are bigger things wrong with the forum and site than a message not being displayed. We don't need to constantly be in the know.

Lol really?

Anyway people here are pathetic. All I did AND OTHER PEOPLE MADE THE THREAD TOO YOU MORONS, JUST GOT MERGED IN THIS, SEE BOLTS EDIT, was post constructive feedback.
If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have double post merge, WC Sports comp which was huge, and comps with the largest entries since 2007. So **** if you think I moan as management end up agreeing with me on most stuff.

Thread closed as half the kids are like OMGZ LETS FOLLOW THE CROWD SO WE LOOK COOL. bloody morons. sometimes I wonder why I donate so much just so comps dept can do comps with a decent prize worth like 400c.

Like I said which you fail to understand, this thread is not moaning. Many people posted it, all get merged here, which you fail to understand even after I keep repeating it. It was a POLITE request. If you class that as moaning then you have something wrong with you.

I apologise if you think I'm having a go at you, as I've said you're a good member with good points but I just think this one is pointless and moaning and that goes for the guy whose posted a complaint in the complaints forum and everyone else who posted saying it.

I don't think it's necessary.

And there's nothing wrong with me.

They can't. It's known as "Abusing VIP Features", hence why it's closed again.
