View Full Version : So regarding the whole Feedback forum

Genuine question here, but if the co-owner is gonna get stressed out about how people suggest things to them and demoralize & demean them by doing so, what is the point in having the feedback forum again?
Right now it seems to cause more problems than solutions. :)

You're a bit late to the show. LOL
IT'S ALL GOING ON IN THIS FORUM TONIGHT!!
To be fair, a lot of what they do makes sense for the greater good, some of it not so much
Maybe because sometimes it is took WAY out of proportion. People need to realise how to post properly in a feedback forum.
Mrs.McCall
21-10-2010, 09:13 PM
Honestly, I don't see the point anymore. It does more harm than good. Some feedback is amazing and really is helpful but threads keep turning into the same old arguments over 10 pages and it isn't helpful. It's de-moralising. People forget that the staff are doing what they're doing voluntarily on top of real lives and maintaining a forum full of people they can never, ever please isn't easy. I think people need to start cutting the staff a bit of slack because they work bloomin' hard and get sod all back from it.

He should have just worded it politely as if a member posted that, they would have infraction PMs rolling in.
Maybe because sometimes it is took WAY out of proportion. People need to realise how to post properly in a feedback forum.
People were giving genuine feedback - yeah they might be wrong (in his opinion) but to call people idiots and demean them is not only hypocritical of the rules it's also a bit of a poor show on his part, lets be honest.
Yeah he did go overboard, but that is him. He owns half the forum, so he can do whatever he likes (in his eyes)

Well if he thinks he can do whatever he wants, then I don't want to be a member of this forum anymore.
Yeah he can, and that's fair enough. But there's a right and wrong way to go about it, imo! If the owner of a big business behaved in that manner, they'd get railed at.

He has done it before too but apologised, its just not the right way to go about it.
In my opinion, this isn't a dig at jin. But the way the forum currently is, things should be kept sweet as it's not a good time to be losing even more members.

Yeah but we all break the rules in the heat of the moment so why can't Jin? Sometimes people get caught up. Doesn't make him terrible.
And you're not moaning, you're raising points in a fair debate about something that is IMPORTANT and does effect the whole forum. I think getting rid of the Feedback section for a little bit would be a good idea whilst we work out a better system.

I do think closing it at least until V6 is a good idea because the answer to most feedback is "wait for V6" so surely waiting until that's active makes more sense?

Well you know what, the thing is. Certain people are making too many threads in this forum about little things, such as a certain user making nearly 60 threads in here in 6months. If you're that bothered about the forum why don't you become staff and work your way up the ladder instead of telling staff how to do their jobs. An example of this would be telling them to make serveral rooms that must be full all the time with habbox.com in their name. Why don't you make the rooms yourself, instead of donating furni to the competitions department? It would save a hell of a lot of time and increase productivity if management did not have to write essays to threads in feedback about silly pathetic things such as a moderator is talking down to me, an error message said n/a or how many super mods/ mods there are.Management really don't need to justify their actions to you. So stop being bloody back seat drivers and maybe do something about it yourself if you don't want the site you use the most to disappear in to thin air.

V6 Situation:
We were waiting for the specification for ages and then we got it, David did a few things. Nothing progressed - no communication nobody was speaking so nothing has been done for ages until today. After the events of today we're looking to start getting more stuck into the coding and start getting something pretty substantial going.
But to be fair there is not that much in terms of features and content coded yet - mainly admin stuff.
Don't know how long it will take - sure management will update when more is known.
No point lieing about it.

I understand it's delayed but I do think that'd be a good time for feedback to open back up as it will be a helluva lot more constructive because V6 will be brand new. Everything else just ends up getting shoved aside for "v6" and tbf, that answer isn't gonna fly with members much anymore. So to save hassle, close feedback.

Yeah, considering all the feedback which actually gets implemented is only to do with the forum, I think it needs to be made pretty clear that this is "HabboxForum Feedback", because quite frankly management want to do their own thing regarding the site and habboxlive. I mean they must know what they're doing if they don't listen to us lol.

For those who understand the definition of feedback or constructive criticism who can provide something that benefits us rather than cause security issues.
I think thats implied in the title of the forum, that the thread has to somehow benefit us instead of making us more vulnerable :l
