In year 10/11 for your work experience; what did you do?

I had to work the the council, repairing parks and clearing vandalism etc. It was ok being out and about all the time, and I got on with the other workers which made it more fun.

I worked in a place called Stockdales which is a home for adults and children that have learning disablities. I had to take them out for walks, cook with them, do art classes with them, read with them, do dance classes with them and I also got to go to a Hydrotherapy session with one of the residents which was really quite amazing. It was a bit of an emotional experience at times but I absolutely loved working with them.

Worked at MJP (Architects office). Most days i was using a program to make 3d images of various different buildings/layouts, and then my main 'project' was making a 3d model (on the pc) of a building they were actually making, to scale.

It was fun making the furniture n stuff, slightly tedious at times but fun nevertheless

I worked at the printing firm my dad works at. I either had to do heavy duty man filing in the loft, or I was working in the bit where they translated the images sent by the company into plates that would be used in the machines. They even let me make my own, the printed it so I have a big roll of film next to my wardrobe with my own design on it:

I was gonna do it at Sellafield, but I wasn't able to do it cause it was on high alert with the 7/7 bombings and all that. I pretty much did nothing for the whole week :S, and when we asked the teacher who sorted out the schools work experience to help us sort it out for next year, he told us we had to do it ourselves, as though it was our fault we couldn't do it that year :@.

Well
first 2 working days: had to stay at school cos my work experience kept getting screwed up!

next 7 working days: worked at a crappy job agency called "tate", stole a **** load of mints and pens, sorted out their whole filing system which felt quite rewarding cos it was a **** hole. First day though I shredded with a shredder that kept breaking down and on the last day I worked there I shredded paper too, which was from sorting the files out.

last working day: i was ill, those offices were insufferable, constantly stuffy and I probably either shouldn't have bought sandwiches from poundland or inhaled too much of the papers dust.

Worked at my parents business in the mornings, then at a local computer repair shop in the afternoon :) Was really good actually!

I'm doing work shadowing in the next year at 6th form too... hopefully they can get me into a newspaper or a media publishing sector. Should be fun.

Worked in a computer shop, built/repaired some computers and did a bit of admin work. I also found out how computer shops blatantly just con everyone and route through everyones hard-disk for porno, with surprising success.

Year 10 went to nursery where my little sister goes, I did nothing all week, i wasn't allowed to feed, hold or do anything with the children not even my own sister. So pointless.

year 11 went to work with my dad who is a lawyer, I basically sat in different court rooms by myself, I enjoyed listening to all the different crimes but I didn't learn anything from it

I worked in some business thing, had the majority of it off because I wasn't allowed in the meetings with the big boss dudes because they were big deals but the smaller deals I'd go in and see how things went, it was alright. Went all over the place, London, Liverpool, Newcastle etc. Met Emile Heskey.

This was some long time ago, but I worked at learn direct where I just answered the phone, talked to learners and supervised. Also had to carry about 15 computers up about 100 stairs. '-.- (one at a time)
