View Full Version : Dual USB?

Is their such a thing? Basically I want to connect my external hard drive to my PS3 and my laptop AT THE SAME TIME. Obviously to do this the USB cable coming from the external hard drive would need to have two USB connectors...

Yes, I'm assuming your external hdd will have a mini-usb connector on 1 end and a full usb connector on the other. So the female connector if for the actual hdd usb cable and the other 2 split the connection. You will need to get a female -> male extender too.

Doubt this would work unless only one of the devices was on at a time.

Unfortunately I don't think you're going to be able to accomplish this, atleast not over USB. The best you could do is get a switchbox which toggles use between a USB device and two machines.

I've got one I think, one side has like a USB port and the other has the actual plug so you'd be able to stick the USB into one and side and the other USB into the computer... Is that what you're looking for? I'll see if I can get a picture.

Yes that's exactly what I'm looking for, god knows where to buy the,... Only need to find out if it would actually work now...

I've got one I think, one side has like a USB port and the other has the actual plug so you'd be able to stick the USB into one and side and the other USB into the computer... Is that what you're looking for? I'll see if I can get a picture.
