In an interview with Hero Complex, Christopher Nolan revealed that the title for his third Batman movie will be The Dark Knight Rises. He added that the villain "won't be the Riddler."

"We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones," Nolan said cryptically. He also said that the studio has agreed with him not to shoot the film in 3D.

The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled for a July 20, 2012 release.

I could pull a more original title out of my butt when I'm taking a ****. This title is my **** literally that's how bad it is, jesus. Anyway I reckon it'll be a pretty decent film.

The title fits the series, kind of. Nolan said this may be his last Nolanverse adaptation of Batmins, and the series may come full circle with it beginning, then having a big problem, then having a conclusion in which all the problems are erased. In this case, the ridiculously overrated The Dark Knight will be the Empire Strikes Back. If so, be in for a slight disappointment.

I would've preferred The Dark Knight Falls as it fits the conclusion atmosphere better. Actually, it would be better to have "Caped Crusader" in there to keep my inner comic book nerd happy.

Other than that, looking forward to it. Not having Riddler in is a good choice because he is quite close to the Joker, and I don't think anyone wants to go near there. Begins' villain was Ra's, who was mysterious and... generally a big disappointment. The Dark Knight had the Joker who was the exact opposite of Batman, a true adversary. I would not be surprised if Hush or Robin show up, to upstage the Caped Dude and finish off his legacy. I personally would like to see the series end with Robin becoming Batman, or a whole series of Nightwing films... because Nightwing is awesome.

its obvious who the next character is lol,

Two face.
Harvey Dent dies, but he didn't.

At the death at the end, if you notice, Harvey's face was facing up and the burnt side was on the ground.
t the memorial service for Harvey, there was no casket to be seen. Thus, no body to prove the death of Harvey/Two-Face.
And remember, whats batman's rule?

Harvey dent is dead,
Two-face lives on

He's already said that he won't ever do robin, never add him in as he doesn't like him, he's also said to the actor who played harvey dent/two face that he won't be in the next one (The actor asked if he would be in it again and showed interest in renewing his role) and he's also said that he's not doing the penguin. I'll have a look for the source later cbb now.

He fell like 50 feet.

He's dead.

Also you have it the wrong way round, he landed with his good side on the ground, then Batman turned it over and said "Gotham needs its true hero".

The title makes the conclusion of the film obvious and, perse, he's already risen.

These new batman films will never replace the originals,
and why wouldn't you do the penguin.
