You should get an ISO which you burn to disk and boot your PC from.

Ahh ok. I wasn't sure what software4students was. Thought it might of been some semi-illegal site offering software out for free to students.

Yeh, Limewire was kind of semi-illegal. They did things to try and act as if they were not enforcing illegal downloads and managed to stay up for a quite a while.

Totally legal. I will never download an OS illegally.
Yeah, Software4Students is literally just that. They have some good stuff on there - you should check it out.

Agreed. To be honest, when Windows 7 is so cheap compared to older versions, why bother? I won't have to worry about rootkits, trojans, malware or anything knowing it came direct from the source.

This is the exact reason I always pay.
It isn't expensive - considering what you get for your money. I would rather the knowledge that the download is safe, it will work - and that I have one bloody good verified OS.

That's what I thought. And it says upgrade.
But I copied it on to a disc, booted from disc and it let me (previously XP). Formatted my hdd, clicked install.
Guess it does work :L

Haha, cheers man. I will be buying it for my newer PC soon then.
Many people in my IT class think the upgrade is only a upgrade so will let them know

As I say - I thought it was.
But on the family pc I got from XP home to 7 Professional on a clean install.
The current sale ends this week - not sure if windows 7 is part of that sale. :)
