Job at Currys

Has anyone ever worked at currys before?

I got a phone call from them and I have like a short informal 15 minute interview with them "to see what i'm like" and such, but i'm not sure what to expect at all.

Has anyone had one before? What happened? ;D

Not had one at Currys before but it will probably just to find out what you can do and offer them, any qualifications you've got.

So, basically you'll probably just get asked some personal questions about yourself and what you can do ... good luck :)

I haven't had an interview but i've had a mock interview along with my aunty etc telling me about them (+its obvious from silly forms you have to sign in for school sometimes) - you just have to blag your way through it, so be prepared for stupid questions such as "why do you want this job" to which you'll need a stupid reply ready such as "because I feel I can contribute to the team, I am a team leader and I am determined in the workplace" rather than "cos i'm skint".

Also if you have lied in your application, they will ask for instance how much money you have raised if you put down earlier on saying you run for charities and shizzle.

I got caught out but still managed to get the job lol

Just say your amazing with technology and think currys is better than pc world. Easy managerial position.

apply for the t park or boro one? i think i applied to the boro one before the online application took ages... try not to be daunted they aren't going to expect you to know everything about technology just show a positive attitude and you'll be fine.

good luck with the interview, just be yourself, google it because quite often people put their experiences online, it might help.:)

Not sure about the interview, but my neighbour used to work there. They used to do staff training days but he was the only one of the more experienced staff members to go. They had prizes for thw winners - he ended up winning iPods, DSLR cameras etc.

Worth it if you take up the opportunities.

the t-park one and the application bit took ages but i got a phonecall anyway i usually get rejected :') and i do know about technology so i'm alright with that :D

Im assuming you mean parent company? cos they are in 2 different sections of retail

my mum works in currys(:

she went to this course to get her prepared back to going to work, and they organised the interview for her, it's simply really easy to get a job there, my mum doesnt even know anything about cameras etc. when she got hired there, she only work 16hours a week, but soon, they will need you to be working there more, + staff training are quite good(i got this from my mum:L), you gain a lot of experience and they teach you more about camera& electrical devices.
&also Currys and PC world are joined together now, they call it Currys PC World:L
