I'm looking for a decent headset that is of a fairly decent price from £10 to about £30. I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations on one! :P

I have very cheap headphones I got from play.com but they are REALLY good and they have great bass and a long cord. They're pretty surround-soundish (even though they arent surround sound) so aren't bad for gaming either.

They do not have a built-in mic though. I very highly recommend them. They've lasted YEARS longer than my old ones that were double the price.

Don't just take my advice though, read the reviews!

* think you'll struggle to find a decent surround sound package for the price you're willing to pay and tbh you get better headphones if you get one without a mic. You could always get a separate mic. I guess it depends what you're going to use them for. It'd be worth investing in some turtle beach x11 or something similar (£30-40) if you're going to be gaming on the xbox a lot for example.

I use these (http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?PRODTYPE=46). They have a charging DOCK so I never have to charge them, you can plug two sources in at once so you can use them with both your computer and iPod at the same time for example, and there's a ribbon going along the top that automatically fits your head. Excellent headphones.

The microphone is an essential. ;)
