Hey, I'm glad that Habbox is actually doing something about past bans and maybe removing them, however I feel that Habbox should send a mass email to everyone informing them that they may be able to get their accounts unbanned if they fit a criteria as when a lot of people have been banned they don't tend to stay around the forum, well some don't.

I think if you did email everyone informing them of the unbanning then it will bring quite a few more people back as they would have no other means of knowing about the unbanning so I suppose if the email was sent it would increase forum users quite a lot.

But aswell as that, maybe they should advertise it on the main site as if someone's changed email adresses they won't know that you can get unbanned and also maybe doing a few promotional events on habbo would help.

Another thing is that the ban has to be issued before 2009? I think. I think it should be increased to 01/01/2010 as then this could be a fresh slate from then onwards as we are nine months into the year now and some people could see it as unfair that they aren't entitled to being unbanned because of a month or so although this same issue could spring up if the date was changed.

With merging the account's, which name do they keep as it isn't cleared up in the actual thread.

I personally think it should have been a year (31/10/10) but whatever GM floats their boat! I also agree with the former, +rep for a good suggestion. This may increase the amount of people coming on as I doubt many realise that there could be an unbanning situation for them.

Just because they're reviewing the situation doesn't necessarily mean every single member will be banned. I expect a very small number to be unbanned.

Well yeah so would I seeing as his other account got banned just a few days ago. And good, I'm sure a lot of them won't get unbanned. Some may believe that some should be unbanned but are not, likely to be good reason from it. They were banned for a reason and I think that unbanning shouldn't be something which is taken on willy nilly

The point is that the forum is declining because bans are too carelessly given out. Mass unban = Mass activity.

We have two sets of ban records, right now we are working on the "old set" which go up to the date specified.

If certain people are getting their ban reviewed then everyone banned deserves to as well. You shouldn't group ppl off by dates.

I do agree with some of this.

My first posts on hxf always bring a smile to my face. Infact my two first -reps told me to get a new habbo name, and that 'you are the biggest noob ever'. Infact I twist it there, my first two reps were those, not the first -reps.

I could guaruntee no bans issued within the last few months have no evidence since we are so stringent on policy nowadays, the reason there's no need to look at recent bans is because they have probably already been appealed - if not they can appeal as normal.

A space of 18months is a long time though and I'm sure old banned users have appealed bans too.

This really. The point of this review is to take on board things that have either been swept under the carpet in the past, to change where change is needed and most importantly to find ways of implementing the most asked for features over time. A mass unban wont happen because ultimately a lot of people have been banned for very good reasons, I've seen other forums that gave up having mass unbans simply because the same people just ended up banned again - so I think that although this part of the review may not be as far as you'd like, give us some credit for meeting you half way :)

As for sunday updates, I will see if there is anything I can do but I doubt it will be much.

In reply to the above two posts of yours: The current bans are more unfair than MAD's. The way the current management treat MAD's regime is pretty much pathetic. The simple answer is this: He was better than you. End of. Forum was more popular. Radio was more popular. Site was more popular. So if anything, you are making yourself look even more stupid by your constant silly comments on MADs regime as he did better than you are doing.

Secondly, the bans now are more unfair. How do I know? I had one infraction, unlocked my own thread once and Matt closed it. No warning, no pm, no caution. I complained about Nicola's abusive -rep (which was removed as she broke the forum rules ... and she is a super moderator) and next thing I know, I am cautioned :S. I appeal. Matt turns it down. Jamesy turns it down saying its fair. No point asking Oli is there lol?
So the current management all say no as they are scared to over turn each others decision and it was stupid and unfair (lol just 1 infraction unrelated to it) :S Jin comes along and un-cautions me - proving the current management are pathetic.

First off, if Jin thought Oliver was an incapable member of general management he quite simply never would have requested that he return to Habbox.

They are still to this day reversing bans imposed by MAD for utterly ridiculous reasons summarized in less than a poorly constructed sentence. I find it highly contradictory on your part to say they're more unfair now, when if you'd posted this post during the MAD era directed at MAD instead of Oli you would most definitely been contained, probably banned. And if you thought you could be remanded back then for this, good luck.

Your vendetta against Nicola is entirely ridiculous and based upon claims of favoritism from Oliver which most all the rest of the forum can see are entirely non existant. She's a more than capable moderator she's always friendly with everyone on the forum (which is why I think you shouldn't be throwing around the term abusive so loosely when if it was genuinely abusive she would have faced consequences accordingly).

I can't see how you could accuse Oliver of being stupid in the situation when his replies are diplomatic and not slating anyone. Where as your replies are most always slating someone (this one is not unlike the others, as you've insulted Oliver calling him stupid) and all over an online virtual community of teenagers.
