Could you live with someone you don't get on with?

i've had to live with the one person i hate most, only thing stopping me from throwing him out was my mum. so in certain circumstances, yes. i'd never share a house with someone though if i moved out.

Well i lived in a boarding school for three years so i know what it's like to live with people you like and people you dislike. With people you dislike/can't get freindly with, it's REALLY awkward when you're in the room together alone. You might exchange small talk but trust me it aint fun sharing living space with these people.

On the other hand it's good fun living with people you like/are freindly with. Living with freinds really strenghtens your relationships. However after a while tensions can arise and sharing the same stuff (by mistake sometimes) can get annoying.

I'd manage. It takes a lot for me to dislike someone anyway because yeah life's too short and even annoying people can have redeeming qualities about them (e.g they're smart so can help with homework). It'd really depend on the personality of the other person. If we disliked each other and just got on with our own thing (like I'd do if I didn't like someone), it wouldn't matter that much but if they were the 'in-yer-face' type person, it wouldn't work out so well. :D

Yeah, although I think I can be quite in people's faces at times I really enjoy having my own time because too much social interaction bores the hell out of me lol unless I love the people and then I never want to leave them.

I suppose it depends on who the person is and how much you dislike that person, but generally i dont think i could live with them anyway, unless i get my own space then i would be ok :)

I get on with some of my flatmates more than others but I don't have a problem with living with those I don't get on with as much.

I could as I spend most of my time in my room, so I wouldn't have to interact with them much. But if they pissed me off, I can imagine it would get quite a bit tense if something happened.

I do live with someone I can't stand and I tend to do my own thing and ignore him. I've had a few scuffles with said person though, he got arrested.

Tbh, I think I'm gunna change my mind and say I could, considering I went on a camp in the summer and had to live with a guy with really severe ADHD or something, he woke me up at 6am every day playing a vuvuzella and I had to restrain myself from shoving it down his throat, but I did. So I think my patience is higher than I let myself believe.

I already posted my opinion which is i wouldn't share with people i can't stand or dislike.

However years back i had to share a room with this guy who me and my freind just couldnt get along with.

Nobody liked this guy as the only way he could talk to somebody was if he insulted them while doing it. Also he is the WORST snorer i have ever heard ( and i've lived in a boarding school for years and been to many a camp so i know snorers ;) )

One night we decided to get a little bit of revenge on this guy and so we pretty much soaked his pillow in lynx (thinking he wouldn't be able to go to sleep easily cos of the smell).

Well that night the wierdest thing happened. The guy fell asleep straight away and we thought "oh damn it didn't work".

Around midnight he started making squeeky sounds and instead of snoring made very odd gargling noises.

Suddenly he stopped (no snoring even) and was queite for the rest of the night. Me and my freind were ******** ourselves, we thought we had killed him! Needless to say we got no sleep that night.

The next morning (he was alive thanksfully). We asked him about what happened last night and he said he just wen't to sleep as normal.

I thought he was lying at first but for the rest of the two weeks he insisted he was asleep the whole time (really convincingly i might add).

So either he was talking crap or Lynx somehow can make you go high lol. :)

The morale of this story is " Don't share rooms with people you don't like, you may kill them by accident with your deoderant bodyspray"
