on saturday night me and some mates planned to take it easy and watch the fireworks and then have a drink after but not go out. so anyway, weather wasn't great but i didn't wanna stay in and neither did this girl. i didn't think anything of it just being me and her but she did. what to do.......

Well she's got the wrong idea, can't really do much about her feelings I guess, but dissapointment is a part of life.
Just make sure she understands that you don't want anything to come out of it, tell her you aren't really interested, but do it in a gentle way.
She will probably think that it was her fault or something but just put her straight just tell her you aren't looking for anything more than a friend yet. If you are living with her next year then surely she will understand, although in saying that you aren't looking at the moment may make her believe that you will be looking by the time you are living with her.

Like I said, put her straight, tell her that you are just friends and that you are ok with it if she 'likes' you but not to make it interfere with your friendship.
