its a tablet used for acne.
my doctor wrote a letter to the hospital today to get me on it, because you can only get it through hospitals, but i was reading the side effects and they seem quite serious
has anyone ever taken roaccutane before, and is it worth it?

yes I've used it, and as much as the side effects are totally horrible, its SO WORTH IT.

Hair loss, kidney failure, mood swings, abnormal hair growth, random bruising, uhmmm... few other things. oh suicidal tendancies too. dry skin, like dandruff nonstop.
its pretty horrid but so worth it.

Even so I wouldn't risk it. Every medication Ive taken in the past I always get the worst side effect lol.

Well as your a girl, mosturiers would help with that if that happens.
And at least you could have mood swings and blame the stuff. :D

thing is i dont even have oily skin, mines pretty dry, but i have it in good condition atm, but the spots on my cheeks wont go away, like they all clear, but then just come back as soon as they do :( and because i have very fair sensitive skin, i can tell its going to mess up my face, but i think im going to risk it!

The main problem with roacutane is that until you start taking them you cannot be totaly sure you wont get any of the side effects.
In the end it's worth it however when you start taking them they actualy give you more spots, although this is only temporary and i didn't get any side effects at all apart from that.
What dosage are you taking may i ask?
(sorry forgot to add if you have fair skin prepared to be burned, im quite tanned and i managed to get burned easily even)
You may also have nosebleeds quite often :P
But it seriously works wonders, I've been off it for 6 monthsish now, and I've had about 3 spots since then.

Ah i did get a few nosebleeds now that i remember, didn't realise the roacutane had anything to do with it.
