Suit be appropriate for day to day wear at the age of 18+.

In my opinion you can wear a suit anywhere, Mcdonalds, Pub, Shops and look sophisticated.

Yeah people frequently wear suits as day to day stuff. Maybe not a tie and everything but like a suit jacket and trousers and shirt is acceptable.

yes it would ... you don't have to be a certain age to look right in a suit...

i think it would look pretentious. i think you'd be better with a suit jacket and jeans.

Wait a goddamn second.

I made a thread like this a few months back and got nothing but negative remarks. What the hell happened?

Casanova's right though. A suit jacket and jeans is the best way to dress.

it does matter where you're going. socialising, cafe's, pubs, possibly clubs is fine.

school/college is a no go imo.

I love suits, I like the smart look.

They can be worn anywhere, without looking stupid imo

You will look pretty silly in a suit at 18 in 2010 when you have no reason to wear one. Middde-aged and older folks wear suits casually and it suits them, no pun intended. And anyone who wears them to college/Sixth Form look a joke.

the only time a young person should wear a suit is: weddings, funerals, work (if necessary), court. lol makes me cringe when you see a oldish teenager wearing a scruffy suit hanging off them EURGH.
