View Full Version : Would your parents ever remarry?
If you're parents are divorced, would they every remarry?
My mum won't since she owns the deeds to the house etc.. and she ain't letting nobody to be entitled to half of it :P
My dad, urm.. I don't see why anybody would want to marry him ^_^

Nah they pratically hate eachother, I suppose it's for the best really.

My mum did about 15 years ago but my dad said he wouldn't because he has just gotten so used to living by himself now plus he's getting old. I know this is really selfish but if my dad ever remarried I don't think I would like it. Unless the woman was the coolest person ever and didn't try to make herself my mum.

You've misunderstood the question.

My mum remarried a few years back, honestly can't remember how long ago my parents divorced (think I was 8?) or when mum married again (probably 16 I'm thinking) and my dad was going to then it didn't work out, but yeah it's not a problem to me, I get on with my stepdad fine no horror stories there and there's only been 1 of my dad's girlfriends that I didn't like and she only lasted like 2 weeks anyway
And Chirs yeah I think that's where I've been lucky - my stepdad has never tried to impose himself as being a replacement dad, even though he does own half the house and pays for all sorts. I'm really far more thankful for all the authority figures in my life than probably shows

I really shouldn't post around the forums when I'm tired, that's the second time I've done that :(
No, I don't think either of them will remarry. My mum always says she'd like to meet a nice guy but I don't think she'll ever get married again and my dad, definitely not. He's better on his own in my opinion.

although my parents haven't been together for 7 years, they're not divorced. weird situation i know.
my mum was engaged 2 year ago & was filing for divorce but it both fell through. my mum & dad pay for everything as husband and wife, the bills for both of them come here & he pays for a lot of stuff at home... until i move out at least. it's the same, he just doesn't live with us.
ehh my dad probably won't marry his gf, he's practically married to alcohol anyway.

i dont think i get new one dad :D i live with mom btw
My mum n dad split up 12 years ago and about 2 month ago my mum did get re-married... my dad knows and he's not really too bothered and he's fine as he's in a relationship of just under 2 year...
so basically to answer the question, yes
They've been together for 20 years, their marriage is strong (appears to be ;D) and I'm sure they will stay together foreverrrrr

My parents have been married for 21 years (beat you Shar ;)) and their marriage is really strong. I doubt they'll ever split, and thank God too.

My parents have been married for 17 years lol...and well idk. They argue quite a lot >;l
Never ever, personal reasons though.
Parents were never married in the first place, but together for 6/7 odd years I guess. The separated when I was like 2, and apart from a brief thing my mum had with some dutch guitarist neither of them have had a steady partner (as far as I know :S) and so I guess neither really will. Doubt my dad would want to do a Ross from friends and get married the third time anyway ahah.
