RAM Problem

So I've currently got 4GBs of DDR2 ram..

or I should have anyway. My computer is only displaying 3. No, this isn't a 32bit problem, I'm running a 64bit system. Do you reckon one of the sticks have died?

Look for an option called memory remapping in the BIOS. It should be turned on if there is such an option.

It depends also, if your computer takes too much. You can look in the Task Manager under Processes, and see how much it uses. Reply back with info if needed :)

Could you do me a favour, If you have windows 7 or vista this would be simple type into search msinfo32.exe once you have loaded that Screenshot below your timezone, and post to here this will assure us that the memory currently installed and the memory available

Well done both of you, neither post is helpful.

@ The OP, do as Stephen said and check Memory Remapping is enabled, if it is then you may have hit your motherboard limit or have bad RAM. Stupid question, but you're definitely sure you're on a 64bit system aren't you? LOL

Also open up the system and take all the RAM out and put it back in again.

Try each stick in slot 1. I had this with an older system, where 1.5GB of RAM displayed as 1GB. Put one of the 3 sticks in alone, and lo and behold the system wouldn't POST.
