If you were to ever sell habbox, how many pounds you think it would go for?

Whatever the highest bidder will pay. Great feedback!!!

It depends on what people are willing to offer for it. Website valuation checkers may give you values but that's just an estimate, I believe you can't accurately value a website using these tools because you won't get what someone is unwilling to pay. Will be interesting to see what people think the offers would be. I know there was a similar thread before but this was quite a while back :).

There was a thread like this a few months back and I think Jin said someone did actually offer quite a large amount for it, unless I was dreaming.

I guess it depends on the amount offered really. Although, I would value it around £700-1000 with the amount of visitors and everything. However, if they sold it then most likely they'll sell it to some new guy with a load of cash and ruin its reputation.

Yea, I'm sure it was £5000 or something.

£5000 isn't really comparable to £1000000+ is it now

Inseriousity.

lol 5000 to a teenager is a lot. Leave him alone :P

Anyway, I'd only pay 500-1000 because I'm a cheapskate and I don't really know how much profit it gets or if it even gets one at all. Would it really be worth the investment? Hmmmmm.

Why is the spelling and grammar so bad in that? Makes it look very unprofessional and unbelievable.

Here (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=641384&p=6440989#post6440989) is the post I was referring to.

"The most we have been offered for was £5000 about a year ago about 2 months before I joined sierk as owner, our running cost on average is £300 per month, google advertising revenue brings in about £225 per month."

Neverrr, but £5000 for a website that will make you almost nothing is a lot of money!

Habbox.com wouldn't be worth alot, perhaps around £1,000 if you're lucky (alot less realistically). Fansites aren't worth anything, especially when you've got draconian limits set by Habbo.co.uk limiting what you can and can't do. The fact it uses Joomla! and has no credible features doesn't make it worth much, if anything you're paying for the history - the content isn't strictly Habbox-only.

The forum would probably be worth alot more, and the radio too, with licenses being the main thing that makes it worth more than Habbox.com.

The site itself is probably not worth that much, but the radio with license, forum with license, ads ect will be what takes it up to 4-5k.

Habbox makes a lot from ads due to the amount of traffic, and obviously the licenses will be worth a bit, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was worth a few thousand.

For the whole brand £5000 was a very reasonable offer.

However these sites probably still make a loss overall due to lack of proper VIP.

I'll disagree with you there.

The ads revenue of whatever it is per day would be enough to cover the radio license, and donator which is however much it is would cover any other expenses. I'd say they make a small but reasonable profit otherwise they wouldn't keep it?

Stop trying to act like you know what your talking about heres some bills;
Google ads - +£225
Running costs - -£300
Vip / donator wouldnt bring in that much considering donator isnt as attractive as it used to be due to sulakes new rules. I personally think Habbox's offer of £5000 was amazing, considering its not exactly a profitable business, its more of a charity due to it doesnt make a income it just takes your income.

That's only useful if it wasn't a site based on a product, especially a product whose owners loves telling it's fansites what to do. It's worth about half that. Yes, it'll make alot of revenue from ads, but you've got to remember maintainance costs and future of the site, which will drive that price right down.

I'd say you'd get somebody paying between 3k and 6k, a rich habbo entusiast might even want to buy it purely to own it, you never know.

Yes, to the right buyer it could be worth a lot, but for someone looking to make money it wouldn't be more than a few thousand.

I'm not sure. The running cost is ~£300 per month and ad revenue ~£225.

Do we get ~£75 worth of donations per month?

You'd have to have something mentally wrong with you to fork out that much though, speaking as though the buyer is a Habbo enthusiast and loves Habbox for some strange, unknown reason :P

Well as someone said, someone in the past has offered £5000, I wouldn't be surprised if some rich habbo nerd offered more than that.

Yeah true that. :)

But people like this exist, in the guinness book of world records i think some dude paid like millions of dollars for a huge virtual mansion in some sort of sim like online game.

Depends when it was to be honest :/ If it was when VIP was around and the community was one of the largest on Habbo, then it would probably be worth the £5,000. I'd still be worried for the sanity of that rich habbo nerd though whos offers that much now :P
