About 60 quid. I saved up quite a lot and have been living off it for the past few months, but now it has about run out. Oh well, no luxuries for a while!

-£1300
£689.87
But I owe the mother £450
In my bank I have £1.50, but I have about £20 in my wallet and £40 in my cupboard. Since the government keeps printing more money and the value of the pound is going down, you're actually loosing money by saving.

-£51.52 hooray if Moh's ridiculous theory that the UK has entered hyperinflation is correct then my debt is getting lower and lower by the minute

If my theory was ridiculous, why do you get less for your money? It's not because people just wanted to charge more, its because the pound is worth less.

i'm suprised how little people have in their savings:S
i have £40 on my table and £160 in my bank. once i get £200 i leave 50 and put the rest in to savings.... & i'm not saying but i have a very generous amount in saving thanks to my gran/grandad/dad and my mum.

That's got nothing to do with the fact that you suggested people with savings are actually losing money lol, as though spending all your money somehow means you have more of it

The value of the pound is going down faster than you gain on interest... So £1 today can get you more than a £1 in a years time.
So if you spend £1000 on something now, you can buy more than you can with £1000 in a year. I'd say that's losing out.

Wow, I'm surprised tbh. Although actually to be fair a lot of you guys are students so you'll have raided your accounts by now...
I have a savings account, not any other at the moment - but in that i have £1k+ (not exactly sure). I'm just saving for as long as possible, the only time I've ever taken money out was £200 to buy my PS2 when I was 6 - and that was from a payment for something.
So yeah.

the last time I check I think I had about $500? maybe?
I also have about $400 laying around my house (yes I know it's a lot to just have lying around LOL)
there will obviously be more in the future
plus I'm written into a lot of my family's wills so if anything happened I'd also get that money. My grandpa has me written in for a huuuuuuuggggggeeeee amount of it however I'd rather not anything happen in my family so I'll take the family over the money!

£1000 in a savings account, around £400-500 in my general spending. I don't like to dip much lower than £450 because I feel I'm wasting it. I'm quite tight when it comes to money :P

The benefit of being the first grand child I guess. They just stuck a tenner in there every now and then since I was about 3 and it was transferred over to me when I reached 16. It's why I don't like going nuts with my money because I appreciate I am lucky to have it :)

I might get some money from my grandfather RIP.
He's set up a trust fund which will pay for my Uni. But I expect there will be some money left over. Then Christmas and I'll get a few hundred in cheques ect so woo.
Can't wait until I can get a job though.
