I'll assume everyone who used the password will get a warning, those who leaked it will get fired & banned, and to prevent it happening again...dunno.

Nothing, Management will close all threads about it claiming that we're targeting staff or some other nonsense reason to close important threads which they don't like.

The people who used the password won't be dealt with, humans are intrigued and I'm not gonna blame anybody that thought it'd be a laugh to try it. Those who distributed it will face punishment.

We can't really do anything to prevent staff leaking password again, it's always happened and always will happen :P

I doubt they intentionally pick un-trustworthy staff so that the password can be leaked and they can hire trustworthy staff and claim they made a change for good. Then again...

All very well saying that, but someone will always get through the net. Happens everywhere, not just on this forum and it's something that just has to be dealt with.

Not really my place to say for the first two but for the third one, I don't think HxHD or general management can be blamed for staff giving the password out really. The problem is never really going to be resolved. Sure they could hire more trustworthy people but there'll always be someone who slips through the net and HxHD management shouldn't have to go through pointless security measures for leaks that are rare. If they become commonplace then yeah changes should be done but it happens twice a year or something.

Nothing really I guess. But to prevent it, you could have IP logs and times and find out the time the password was leaked, may help.

Perhaps all this aggrevation is a sign that something needs to be done? The people who seem to be protesting seem to have an interest in the Help Desk, perhaps you could ask them privately what they think should change? Afterall, making up rules as you go along isn't going to help in the long run, and it seems these malicious actions are getting worse and worse.
