Like, if you are texting someone, do you make sure no one else can see.
Also, do you keep it away from your family.
I always do, but this one time, I left my phone turned on whilst charging, and someone text me saying 'Marry me marry me' (my dad read the text) I had to make up a lie - fast.
They just took it as a joke, saying "Can he cook?" I was like "No he's lazy." They said "Well don't marry him then" (I can't cook if you figured that out.)

why lie about that? i only hide mine in class when i'm texting. rebelll
Yer im really personal about my phone, hate anyone looking at it so its annoying when someone likes to play snake 2. And i was pretty relaxed with leaving my phone around the house, then my phone looked through my phone (nothing bad on it thankfully :P) and since then ive just kept it with me all the time.
I tend to always have my phone on me at all times and if i dont then it will more than likely be in my bedroom.
I dont like people knowing who is phoning or texting me... dont know why... but just dont!

Where do you get one of those Niamh :) I want one!
And I get what you mean.
I only lied about his location; wasn't going to tell them he's from Scotland.
Specially with a unique name. also, since that incident he is now 'josh' in my phone.
Also, I remember when I was in like year 9 got my first phone that I actually text off of. Some people read my texts, but they were all like from my mum and she used to use my texts in them days.

My dad is furious when I use my phone around him, which is ironic because he pays the bill :P
Of course I hide my phone in class when I use it - otherwise our professors will kill us!

i can't stand people going on my phone.. but i've had it LOADS this week coz i got my blackberry and everyones like OOOOOOOOOOO this girl was surfing through my pictures today it was REALLY embarassing.
i hate bringing it out on buses as i'm always thinking i'll get jumped (that means mugged) but i only have that problem with my blackberry.
i obviously go on it during class loads as i have free internet/twitter. (was caught on monday and the ugly teacher took it off me :( ah well.) i'm fine with leaving my phone downstairs as my mum probably has no idea how to work my phone.

nah I don't care who looks at my phone. if it goes off i let my mum read my text too me. she knows all my mates, is on my facebook, knows what we get up to and all so just honesty is the best policy.
Yeah, I hate ANYONE looking at me texting, touching or even LOOKING at my phone. idk it just feels so personal, it's pretty much the only thing I'm protective over. It's not even like I have anything PERSONAL on there, it's just like a reflex. I have a password on it too (H)
I hate it on the bus as well, I DON'T WANT RANDOM PEOPLE LOOKING AT ME TEXTING MY MUM, OK.

lol i was weary if people were looking at my phone when i was on bus other day, then i realised there was only this man behind me, and this boy i knew off habbo anyway so its not like they were gonna see.

hide it all the time in class
leave it lying about at home, its got password so no1 can do anything other than make emergency call :)
but like if im texting i always hide it down low so no1 can see.. and don't let my mates look at my phone (texts, pics etc)
I have that password pattern lock thing on my phone so if I leave my phone and someone tries to get on it, they can't - but if it is unlocked, then I won't let anyone near it. xD

im fine with people watching me text/use it. in lessons my teachers dont really mind so long as you're not engrossed and look at them every few seconds to reassure them you're still listening, probs partly cause im year 13 as well.
I will openly use my phone in front of people, I get a bit funny about other people playing with my phone as my text messages are easily taken out of context and largely they are incredibly offensive as thats the game we play as friends or couples.

Can I read your texts? I'd take it as compliment to be offended by you. LOL.

I don't really hide my phone when I text because for the most part my texts are not personal anyway (at least not anymore :P). Same as Jin though in that I get really paranoid if someone plays with my phone so I don't let anyone on it.

Depends, I usually exercise some privacy when texting someone but I'm not over the top. If someone asks to borrow or have a look at my phone I'll happily give it them because a) My phone is ridiculously difficult to use (Windows mobile is a challenge!) and b) If you say "Good luck finding anything dodgy cause there isnt anything" then most people will give up. There's a few text messages and photos on there I'd rather not show to anyone but there's little chance of someone finding them tbh. If you get ridiculously protective over your phone you just look like you're hiding a lot or really boring.
