Hi so I'm applying for my provisional licence and im confused at something. I read somewhere, can't remember where that if not using your passport then you have to have 2 photos, one stuck on and the other one which gets signed by someone you know, you leave loose in the envelope?

IS THIS RIGHT? Cos I can't find where I saw it anywhere and I stuck the non-signed photo on the application already so now im scared I did it wronggggg

I know you're meant to get it signed but I'm confused about the 2 photos thing, I do stick the non-signed one don't I? Cos the signed one surely can't be the proper one cos you can see the signature pen mark on the photo so yeah..

am I right or wrong cos if I'm wrong ill die :(

When I did mine, I had to have both photos signed by someone. The place where you stick one of the photos has a transparent back so you can see the signature, and then the other one was signed and loose inside the envelope.

I did this 5 years ago, so it may have changed. Sorry I couldn't have been more help. Hopefully someone in the same position will know for sure.

k i unstuck it and stuck the signed one on. If you got both yours signed and stuck the signed one on then I'll just stick the signed one on and leave the non-signed one loose in the envelope, I'm sure you don't need both signed. The website doesn't even speak of sending 2 photos so where the hell did I see it :S

Here is a little information I found for you. I don't know if it will help too much, but it's a good start for you.

Click here for it. (http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/NeedANewOrUpdatedLicence/DG_078281)

yeah that's the thing I saw.. it says "your photo", it don't say anything about 2 photos :S So I'll just add the unsigned one as a christmas present or something. Envelope sealed, will send it off tomorrow! I hate doing signatures for important stuff like that, worst signature I have ever done

Yeh, in the days I did it, it was two, I can't remember the importance of it though. Good luck with it.

but surely it won't matter if I send one loose, not like they'd reject it for putting another photo in the envelope lol

Ooook that's good then. Still worried about it being accepted though :( My middle name on my national insurance card is spelt as mathew instead of matthew but my birth certificate says matthew. Will they reject it if they realise? :(

No, just go by what's on your Birth certificate, also, you should get that checked out with your NI.

I only sent one photo when I did mine back in like July.
