basically i found out today i'm finally getting a dog, yay!
she's a blue chihuahua, she's a more rare breed of them. she's completely pedigree etc. and they're giving us all of her clothes, bags, toys and whatnot because they're moving to england on sunday and they need a good home for her, and she's free lol.

anyways, she going to look something similar to these:

she's really small and she only weighs about 3 pounds, and she's fully grown. i really want to give her a good name as long as they don't have one i like already (which i doubt they will lol). anyways yeah i basically just need some good suggestions as to what i should name her :) i appreciate everything, except stupid names obviously. and i really would rather stay away from names like baby, sweetie, honey, etc. as i think they sound way too awkward for my taste.

atm i'm thinking maybe charlotte, bree, elle or roxy. i really like chanel but obviously that sounds really stereotypical for a chihuahua so i dunno :( anyways, any suggestions that are useful will get +rep. we're getting her tomorrow afternoon/night so the faster the better, i'll let you know what her name is when i find out and i'll post a picture of the real her too :) thanks in advance

Clothes and accessories on a dog is so pathetic. They have fur for a reason, they don't need ******* jumpers.

dude i didn't buy them, they're free with the dog lmao.
and also i read that since these dogs are so tiny, they have fast metabolisms which burn the heat off them quickly. their body temperatures get too low. some people put a sweater on them in winter simply so they'll retain enough heat to stay alive.

and tbh i wouldn't waste my own money on accessories for a dog other than a collar but obviously i'm not going to tell them to just burn the stuff.

If it has a name don't rename it.

Pixie - she's small and uhm...well i hate dogs but if I had to have one I'd have a chihuahua because they're "cute".

You can see what I think of these dogs :P However, if it already has a name and is older than a couple of months, it's best not to rename it. Especially if it has already been trained to commands using a name.

if she has a decent name I'm not going to. but my mom's boyfriend got a dog like, a year ago and that dog's name was Big Red Dancer when he got it. needless to say, the name got changed to lucy within the first few hours and that's what she goes by now. ps: his dog was older when he got it than mine is :)

I've always wanted a dog called Bear, but seeing as its a chihuahua that would be quite strange, the dog might be used to her old name.
But maybe: pippa, mocha,Lola, coco, Gigi, bebe!

Good luck with your dowggg, i hope shes not snappy! :)

I think Missy is a cute name for a cat or a dog. Unfortunately I don't think naming her after anyone in real life is a good idea because they might take offense to that-- they might not understand :(

Leave it to the man who lives in HxHD to propose a Habbox inspired naming of a living creature :P

Why on earth would you want a chihuahua, but more importantly where has the animals sub-forum gone? I was informed the food section has been removed as well. Is there even announcements for this kind of thing anymore? Anyway, for the sake of keeping on topic call it Odysseus, Beowulf or Lieutenant Surge.

please don't carry it around in a bag. I find it really annoying how people are now buying dogs for fashion (I am aware you are getting this dog given it to you and that you have not said you're going to carry it around in a bag, etc)

Dogs are meant to walk, hence the reason they have legs. It really boils my piss when people buy dogs as a fashion statement, carrying it EVERYWHERE in a poncey little bag does the dog no good, as dogs require a deal of excersise to burn off the fat and build muscle, excersise is essentially important when a dog is in a puppy stage (for small dogs, up to 15-20 months) as they essentailly need to build up the bone and joint strength, if a dog lacks excersise especially as a puppy, they can go on to develop bone/joint problems and require either an operation in the most serious of cases but usually a calcium/glucosamine/condrhoitin supplement.
