Ok so...I get left on my own a lot when my brothers are out at tournaments and my Dad is at work...so I have to cook myself food...

Just wondering who here can actually cook properly?

I can cook stuff like pasta/pizza/chicken nuggets, but I fail at chips and I can't make something that takes a long time although I do make fudge, cakes & shortbread sometimes.

Soo yeah, i guess I can cook for myself but only basic things :P

What can you cook? :)

I always cook for me and my GF, I normally make everything from scratch, for example a chicken tikka, spag bol, stir fry's and much more :P

I have never used an oven or a hob, I struggle to use a microwave and cut cheese and can just about use a toaster. Cooking ain't my thing :P

I think I could if I actually tried, but for now I'm 15 and I let my parents do the cooking. :D

I can cook simple things with simple instructions (chips, beans, chicken, etc) but that's about it.

Funny thing is, my mum flamed me when I made tea today :( I'm not sure what was funny.. not enough milk or I left the tea bag in idk tbh.

That sums it up - no. My dad does everything in my life and I swear everything. :( I can't see myself moving out :')

Depends what I have to do. If it's just baking in the oven, or something on the barbecue, then yes, if it's making the whole dish myself, no.

If it was just me in the house, i wouldnt really bother cooking. When I'm looking after my little sister or brother, i will make a pasta dish. They seem to like it :)

I can cook :) Done a few roast dinners, made curries (some from scratch), baked melting moments (yum yum) and I can make pastas snazzy by adding random mixtures we go decent together. Bacon, courgette and cheese pasta is yummy, try it :P

when my mum left and my dad was at work (and we weren't at our sister's house) me and my brother had to do everything for ourselves, from the age of ten. So since then myself and him have always been good at most things and been pretty self-reliant.

I can cook anything I want. My favourite is things like home made pasta, home made pizza's, home made curries. I don't like ready made stuff and I'm good at making everything from scratch.

I still have friends that can't do much. I have a friend that still lives with his mum and literally can't do much apart from microwave, toaster and kettle. He made us pizza once--still had the plastic on it!

No I cant, I burn my toast. I even managed to burn the bottom of a pizza whilst the top wasn't even cooked.

I can cook quite a few things. I can follow recipes pretty good, so I can follow recipes to make things I don't know off-by-heart.

I can make anything and everything from starters to desserts.

Spent my childhood baking quite a bit with my mum. Spent my teenage years making appetisers, cocktails and starters, then when I moved out I started doing mains.

I am best at:
American
Mexican
Spanish
Chinese
British
Indian
Italian

Not so fantastic with the french foods. Don't really use ready-made food and even my freezer is full of fresh foods such as chicken, prawns, vegetables. I find cooking satisfying and relaxing which is the reason why I don't eat ready-made, not because of some view on MSG's or GM or whatever. I couldnt care less.

Wow, I can barely create English food let alone Mexican, Indian, Italian etc. :O I can just about make chicken curry, chilli con carne etc. but that's with a bit of help from the mum :)

I think cooking is one of those things that is quite subjective. I have friends that can follow recipes and come up with good things, Myself and others can enter a kitchen and just use instinct and there are people who just simply can't cook.

My favourite is BBQ's I like how raw it is, away with the pots and pans, just meat, veg and fire.

Yah I can cook. I've been cooking on and off for about the last 6 or so years and every day for the past 2 years. I normally make most things from scratch depending on what is in the cupboards it normally ends up being slightly different every time. I'm also cooking Christmas lunch this year as I did last year lol.
