View Full Version : [Poll] [Rep] Mafias etc
Hey guys. I am considering (jkin ima do it) making a sort of RP-like room such as a Police force, mafia or something along those lines. Years back, they used to be in small rooms but now they're starting to be in larger rooms. What do you think I should make it?
Large room or small room?
Here are some examples I have seen around the hotel:

Posts and opinions will be awarded with reputation!

Wouldn't have expected it to be you who does something like this tbh! I think smaller rooms are nicer, neater and all that jazz in fairness, but it's up to you. :)

I would say smaller for the reasons above, it just looks nicer imo
Me either... me either. Lol.
And thanks! +rep
Also, I didn't do a forum poll because I wanted people to post.
Also, should it be the first room layout or the corner one? I don't like the corner one tbh, what you think?

Although larger rooms give you more space (obviously :P) I think a smaller room would be best. It does depend on what you want in the particular room though!

It depends on what your hoping to do with it, It's better to start small and then expand after you have built working foundations. This place use to to be in a tiny blue room about 5 yrs ago before it was started up again.
Example, our new HQ:

I'm not sure why you want to build one when there's so many places you can join already. Though one reason would be profit though? :)

Couldn't care about profit. Did you get all those bars from it? haha. Nice!
Also, I was in that room and I really liked it! Goodjob.
edit; also luke, i have to spread

Smaller rooms seem much more nostalgic to me, so I think that's the message you're wanting to give off with a mafia. Small for me ;D
Inseriousity.

I prefer big... wait are we talking about rooms? Oh right, rooms yeah, smaller rooms are better. :D I think big rooms are just people showing off and become a place of 'fill up this room with as much furni as you can' (exhibit a, the gold bar thing on the room above).
PS. But how are you gonna get the furni to pay for the worker's wages?!! www.habboxforum.com/comps (http://www.habboxforum.com/comps) tbh
yes mike im just going to win back my furni?

Also, I was in that room and I really liked it! Goodjob.I'm not the owner, so they aren't mine sadly lol. We sell Rights for 50c, 30c to long time workers lol.

I'm not sure on a rights scheme yet. I may not even have one! Still making the room.

i think smaller u can put better furni if u need not so much and they look better :)

Good point. I am spending a lot more than I would have in a bigger room.

It depends on how much you are worth on if you build one in the first place. I know I am old school, but all the mafias and stuff used to be very rich room owners, well, hackers.
They are not that profitable, although I would have thought they are growing in popularity, what with all the noobs and stuff.
Are you building it atm?
Yeah I am building it at the moment. I don't consider myself wealthy but I do have a bit of disposable income (after what Iv'e donated) so I thought why the hell not.

i do personaly prefer smaller rooms, however with a big room you have a better chance to be popular as since more people can get in, it can go higher on the popular room list.
I thought the navigator's list was based off the percentage of people in the room? The same how smaller rooms get red quicker.

I see red small rooms with green large ones above them?

Smaller, reminds me of my days when i loved to RP in police rooms & Mafia's! :D Plus i tend to lag in big rooms, so that does not help for me! But keep it simple, plenty of good looking rares and set it at a colour theme :D

I would say a larger room looks better, but as it's more lonely a smaller room would probably accommodate better for a Mafia.
Thanks. It's not necessarily a mafia, I was just using that as an example. Infact, I am yet to finish the room let alone name it.
Missangel, I now owe you rep. (24hr limit.) And David, I owe you rep too (I have to spread before I give you any.)
Large rooms can look more spectacular if you have the furni to build them and also they can get busier which puts it higher on the rooms list.

Sorry what i meant in my first post was that large rooms with a lot of people some up first in the ''rooms with most people'' list. Since it's the first list you see when going onto rooms it's what most people use to browse rooms.
