Cute

Ok for most my life and still now I've never been referred to as hot or good looking, but almost everyday girls say I am 'cute' I don't know if this is a good thing or not? Do I want to be referred to as 'cute.' I don't know at all to be honest. When I get called cute I feel like I'm a little kid and the girl is older(which isn't the case), should I feel like this? Any advice on this whole cute ting would be deeply appreciated :)

yeah cute isn't really a good sign if you want to go further because you don't really look for cute haha although it could depends why type really, it mainly is used like refering to you being younger like of you're cute when it's not acceptable to say someone so much younger than you is hot.

I think it depends on the girl, some mean it as a compliment as they think "you're hot" could sound a bit weird if they're not confident or close to that person. Personality-wise I would take it as a compliment because it usually means you're sweet and sensitive (:

being called cute is just a friendly term but i don't think the people calling it you think you're 'hot' - they're just your friends :)

I think being called 'cute' is referring to babies as they are often refered to as 'cute' e.g. 'Awwww he's/she's so cute' and sometimes if I am close to the person calling me it I will tell them not to, they refer to me as something else then.

However, in your situation, she says you're cute, take it as a compliment, you might as well. :D.

but if i think a girl is cute, i usually think of her as good looking, but a different kind of good looking to 'hot'. Like hot is convetional good looking with loads of make up etc. etc., cute is just...yeh not but still good looking if that makes sense.

Saying cute to a boy coming from a girl is noway she likes you other than just friends.

If she's fairly outgoing, not shy then she should have no problems calling a boy cute, surly, which could mean it's just a casual thing for her. Then, if you're a fairly liked individual she should also have no quarrels with calling you cute.

Um well I call guys cute when they act especially adorable it isn't necessarily a comment on their looks per se. I think guys are cute when I talk about their personality and stuff that they do.

If they're hot I'll simply tell them they're hot. But being cute is a plus in my books, not sure what other girls' opinions are.

This. Personally, if I were to call a guy "cute" I wouldn't make the judgement based on their looks but their personality. In some cases it means the girl just wants to be friends, however it depends on the girl and her personally. As David said if it's a outgoing girl then its probably just a casual thing for her, however if its not the norm for her maybe she likes you? :)

i personally use hot interchangeably with cute. its usually referring to looks for me and means about the same thing, same with all my friends.
we also sometimes use it as personality description, but more often its either looks of boys we don't know or looks and personality combined of boys we do know.
for example i might be like "omg he's really cute!" if i see a hot guy at the mall

or

"he's really cute, i'd totally date him" referring to personality and/or looks, kind of just as a general statement

I think cute guys are cute (lol?). Take it as a compliment :} And yeah it's cool to be referred to as cute by a girl. I tend to call boys who I think are 'good looking/hot' cute.. 'cause they are lol :} As far as my girl brain goes, I don't call people who I think are good looking good looking, I call them cute :3
